If an employee of the University, couldn’t contracts be put in place (as with Coaches) the make it harder to switch teams?

Last year and this year have been tough, and it is hard to pinpoint exactly why. We have had a ton of injuries that could be impacting this more than is apparently, or it could be a coaching issue. I am not sure that a change at OC is really going to change much… but I guess we will see. Overall, whether it is time for Whitt to go or not… I would never call for him to do so. As you said, he has earned to right to hang it up when he is ready. If he stays I am curious to see what he can do next year without all the QB controversy.

I thought about this just as it would be nice to not need to carry chairs into the stadium each week. I tried them for one game, and while the rental chairs are comfortable, they were less comfortable than what you can buy online. I felt that I was going to slip off the chair at times. Overall, I would recommend going with the online option.

I remember clearly everyone saying that a new community and site were needed to host a more balanced and welcoming Utah fan community. I am not sure if you knew what you were getting into when you accepted the challenge, but since that first day it went live it has been such a massive improvement. I am grateful to have been along for the ride, and for all you have done for the site. It has met all of the hopes that so many of us were asking for, and more. Can’t wait to see where it goes next. Thanks again Tony for being crazy enough to undertake the challenge.

7 Years… wow, time flies.  I vividly remember the drama that led to the creation of UteHub.  As everyone was increasingly saying how they wished that someone would create a good alternative to the current fan sites… Tony actually stepped up and did it.  I jumped over the day it opened and have never looked back.  This has been a fantastic community, and it is so much of what we were all asking for seven years ago.  Great job Tony… thanks for all the work and sacrifice.

I’m trying to be “interested” in the TexasTech’s and UCF’s of the league. It’s…. hard. That’s harder for me than the portal/nil stuff.

I cannot click enough “thumbs up” on this one. In the PAC12 it seemed that just about every single game was exciting and was against a team you cared about. In the BIG12 it just does not feel the same. Yes… loosing has not helped… but beating teams I have no passion for or against wouldn’t feel the same either. I get that BYU fans are all about the BIG12… I am just not feeling it.

I get your point, but QBs today are finicky and want to start. By having Rising play 7-years we have limited options. Had he been healthy, and with a freshman learning from him, no one would be complaining. It would seem we rode his train too far, but this is also 20/20 hindsight. Having watched the games this year, I am still not sure this all hangs on the QB. The run defense has been atrocious at times. Injuries seem to happen left and right. We’ve had some special teams issuers as well. So is QB an issue… of course… the only issue… I don’t think so.

That is a very interesting point, and one I will be watching for as well. I am not sure that the other B12 schools have the same draw as Stanford, USC, Oregon, etc.
