@Philly, I think you need to re-read my comment. I never said it wasn’t important. I said it doesn’t interest me any longer because college football has changed so much. There are so many commit and then de-commits lfollowed by transfers in this new era that I just can’t get excited when I hear somebody lists us in their top 5.

The recruiting process doesn’t really interest me any longer. Until they sign their LOI, I just can’t get too hyped about it regardless of the recruit. Especially with what’s essentially free agency in college football via the transfer portal.

I think that’s fair. I am fine with day games later in the season when it’s cold. Just hate baking in the bleachers early in the season.

Agreed that they are potentially dangerous for pedestrians. Disagree about night games. I love night games and hate day games especially early in the season. Sitting out there in mid to upper 90’s weather is just brutal. Especially if it takes 40 plus minutes waiting to get water. It’s awful.

I don’t see him transferring out. Grew up a Utah fan, chose Utah over other huge schools and will get the NIL money he would want to stay. If he wanted to go elsewhere, I think he wouldn’t have picked Utah to begin with.

How many true freshman are ready to take the reigns of a P4 team with playoff aspirations? That’s a lot to put on a kid’s plate.

The only thing I would say is that I don’t think they believe Bernard can stay healthy getting the kind of workload JJ did last season and they’re very worried about that because all of the other RBs are not producing in practice or the game apparently. To be fair, I think compared to other losses, the takes have been more reasonable.

AZ dbs had a ton of PBUs that were in receivers hands. They did get away with 3 PIs on Singer alone. I don’t fault Wilson for what seems to be a longstanding tradition in recent Utah Football seasons. The “wtf” game. Like against Florida at the Swamp etc. Credit their dbs tonight. They played well for the most part.

I think they’re worried about Bernard’s durability. Especially when you have nobody else seemingly able to be even adequate as a backup for him. Mitchell had 2 carries tonight for 0 yards…. I’m to the point that if Cam isn’t out there starting against AZST, then it’s time to go with Wilson. I’m very happy that everybody on here at the moment seems to understand there’s going to be growing pains with Isaac, but that you can see the potential there. I think of there is a bright spot even in a loss like this, it’s that I think Wilson is going to make huge jumps in the coming years. This experience while being rocky will pay dividends down the road.

This isn’t really on Wilson. He’s just not ready. He’s played about how you would expect a true freshman to play. This is about Cam being unwilling to give up on plays and putting himself at risk. Yeah, he made the great throws and was able to scramble to avoid the sacks when it mattered most. The soap opera surrounding Cam and will he or won’t he play is beyond tiresome. I have to think we convert those redzone tds if he plays. It sucks, but whatever. Hats off to them, they outplayed us.

Yeah, great passes. Just can’t get a sack when it matters most. He’s on the run making ridiculous throws.
