Interesting possibility.  One factor that could weigh against it is that GameDay has already been at two Oregon games this year (home v. Stanford, and @ Wazzu).

You are being blessed by the Big Ute in the Sky for what you’ve done with this site.  Congrats.

Thanks, Tony!  I enjoyed the contest, thanks for setting it up and for what you’re doing with this site.  Strangely enough, I live in Vegas and rarely bet on anything.  Maybe this is a sign that I need to take up a new vice . . .

Herbert is a true freshman.  He played pretty well.

How do you figure? I’m thinking Washington, Utah, Colorado, Washington State, maybe USC are ranked.

We throw downfield to open the running lanes. Remember last year, that was how we got off to such a great start against Oregon. Their secondary is much weaker this year after losing two CBs to the NFL, but their front 7 remains relatively stout. If we can throw in chunks, Booker will be unleashed and this game could be very interesting.

The contrast with Cal makes Oregon’s class that much more impressive.  Taggart was hired just a few weeks before Wilcox at Cal, and proceeded to recruit a good class to Oregon despite the negative press of players in the hospital and a coach’s citation for DUI (and subsequent firing).  Who knows if he can coach in the P12, but he can apparently recruit.

Right. I won’t even take the +10. Outlining a narrow but potentially navigable path to a Utah win is not the same as believing that it is a probable result.

Good point. Stanford beat them by getting O-line push and getting 3-4 yards every play, and capping off long drives with TDs. Keeping their offense sidelined and from getting in rhythm. For us to win with that style, our O-line will have to run block better than it has thus far, which I think it can do.
