Oklahoma St. Had 127 yards on 38 attempts.

SDSU rush per carry: 4.4

OkSt rush per carry: 3.3

Maybe they just need to iron some things out. I mean, Utah does too. But as it stands today, their rushing attack isn’t as advertised.

It’s hard for me to say. I don’t have a great bead on how good big12 defenses are against pass rush. If their Olines are about as good as USCs last year, and their QBs half as slippery, this D-line could have a crazy year.

I know it’s a bit of a question mark, but I think the RB room will surprise us. Reason is, last year every team we played knew Barnes wasn’t a great passer and that he made bad decisions under pressure. Best way to take pressure of the DBs? Have a great DL. Really hard to make big plays in the air if you’re constantly worried about Tafuna in your face. According to some, this DL unit is top 3 in the country.

I agree 100%. I wonder how long it’ll take the fans / team to stop relishing in the underdog role, and accept the role of “expect to win” and have that swagger you mention.

The underdog role is nice as a fan, because it offers some solace in a loss, and a higher high when you win. If the team loses, you can shrug the shoulders and say “well, we were the underdog right?” And if they win it feels huge because the underdog just beat the favored team.
