Sign me up as well. I’ll take 2 to 5 years that results in a playoff run over 20 years of consistency with a Rose Bowl loss ceiling.

Yeah I debated including him for that reason, plus their boosters could probably match or exceed any offer we make. Left off the Louisville coach for the same reason.

Cignetti would be my first choice, but he seems intent to stay in Indiana and likely wouldn’t leave for anything short of a blue blood school.
I would like to see the following at least interviewed before it’s just given to Scalley:
– Brian Johnson, he’s had coaching stops at Houston, Miss St & Florida with Dan Mullen, had a hand in coaching Dak…[Read more]

We’ll just have to agree to disagree. I do not believe previous success should let this season be overlooked. 2012 & 2013 I could forgive because he needed a fair shot to get PAC level recruits & money, we saw what happened when he got that. This year and last he doesn’t have those crutches.
As I said I’ll admit he possibly could turn it around,…[Read more]

I would ask what do we gain by him staying for another 4-5 years? Based on comments made on multiple threads, the general argument for keeping him seems to be “next coach will be bad, team will take a negative trajectory” paraphrasing but that’s the gist of it.
Using that logic, would it not be better to rip the band aid off now vs push the issue…[Read more]

I think the flip side to that is that I recall many asking how we would replace Urban Meyer. A negative is not the only possible outcome nor should it scare us into accepting the status quo.

What I’m taking from this is Whitt is on a PIP.

Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, and now Jayden Daniels.

Speaking of Moss – I miss Dennis Erickson simply for his Florida recruiting ties. I know Brian Johnson spent a couple of years at UF, I wouldn’t be opposed to him getting an interview for HC or OC (if he wanted it) once Whitt is gone, assuming he could tap into Florida high schools. His ability to develop QB’s is a huge plus as well.

Good point, I have been pleasantly surprised by other teams success with the portal, so if it were any other team I’d say yes, but under Whitt no I don’t believe we could get those types of RB’s to come in, which I guess brings us back to square one – if Whitt stays who the hell gets the OC role that we can even remotely be excited about.
Agree…[Read more]

If Whitt stays my only hope is maybe Koetter from Boise St, he’s old school and his offense seems to fit Whitt’s style featuring a power RB. The other 2 in my wish list above is assuming Whitt retires and Scalley opens up the search. I don’t have any illusions about how this will go though, just wishful/hopeful thinking.

Good point, my only hope is that Louisville doesnt want to spend 1.5 million for their OC. Basing that on the comment someone previously made stating that Utah spent 1.5 million on Ludwig which was much higher than the national average. Not holding my breath though, haven’t even checked to see how much he currently gets paid by Louisville.

My opinion:
1. Brian Brohm, has Louisville offense in top 10 scoring offense the last 2 years. Would have to hope $$ talks because he’s an alumni and might view it as a lateral move.
2. Dirk Koetter, Boise St OC.
3. Kevin Decker, Old Dominion OC, has their offense sitting at 10th ranked scoring offense vs teams with winning records. -

Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one seeing that. Watched part of that game before the Holy War – refs seemed to have no desire to call a fair game. Everything was exasperated by the fans throwing crap onto the field and the Buffs divas chirping and throwing stuff back.

I’d seriously be in favor of them making him an offer. Any idea how many years he has left?

Meloxicam is what I was prescribed for possible gallstone attacks, Dr told me its a stronger form of ibuprofen typically prescribed for arthritis but much easier on the stomach, I wanted to avoid opiates. No idea if it’s strong enough for what athletes need though, just mentioning it as a possible alternative.

In a discussion about a ref making the wrong call, your argument is to cite another ref…
Stop trying to convince us otherwise, we don’t have to accept it in order to validate your win. It’s starting to feel more like BYU fans are trying to convince themselves it was a good call.
