Its a variation on the old story about why you never take just 1 LDS friend fishing with you. If there’s only 1, he’ll drink all your beer.

Gary Sapp replied to the topic At what position is TDS better than Utah? in the forum Football 5 years, 4 months ago
Legit concerns. But regardless their O line has to face our D line, whereas our O line only has to face their D line after having practiced against ours for a month. Who do you think will really be more ready?

Gary Sapp replied to the topic So what is your favorite Utah/BYU game? in the forum Football 5 years, 4 months ago
2010. Yes we have beaten them much more soundly, but after losing the close one the year before and to have crushed the hopes of their miracle working new quarterback (Heaps) was sooooo sweet.
And those last second ‘snatching victory from the jaws of defeat’ are massively uplifting AND horribly crushing to the opponents.
Plus it started the…[Read more]

Frankly, if I was Kyle I’d have a cast on him if he had a bad hangnail just to be on the safe side. So I’m not that concerned about the severity of any injury before the season starts. A week from tomorrow will tell us a lot more.

That is undoubtedly the best way to get the Cougs off our schedule more often and yet to not make the ledge go all batshit crazy.

Improving on 4-8 would be a great surprise. Don’t see them challenging for the title though.

Gary Sapp started the topic Sagarin Rating at the Start of the Season in the forum Football 5 years, 4 months ago
I realize this is about as serious as the preseason rankings, but it something else to discuss.
Sagarin has us at 22nd with an 81.15 value. He has our first opponent at 69.59 and even with the home field advantage bonus that gives us a projected 9+ point win.
Not suggesting you go out and put any M&M on this, but just one more indication that…[Read more]

That is the definition of BYU foreplay.

Saw a FB post of the guy standing next to Whit. OMG! Makes Bolles look like a gymnast. Everything I heard was that he is here as of today. Probably has to have a couple of days of acclimatization before he can fully participate.

Targeting does seem to be their favorite play when they get all amped up. Probably get a couple and Kalani will get an unsportsmanlike as a result.

These girls are totally rocking it.
They may come back to Earth when they run into Stanford and Cal, but for now they are the best thing on campus after the Red Rocks.

The usual according to the perennially disappointed fans, lost more than 1 game and not qualified for the CFP for 125 years running.

Cougar Ghetto would seem to be more appropriate, though that does carry certain racial connotations.

It is wishing and hoping beyond all possible rational hope. There are still people there that think Chase Hansen will ‘come to his senses’, bail on the U and transfer to the Y.
The stupid is strong in these ones.

I respect what he has done there, but you have to wonder, if like Phil Jackson, he would be much more mortal if he was in a program that didn’t get the best from all over. Of course, he might be getting the best because he is at the program, so its hard to say.

Gary Sapp replied to the topic Why all this talk about Taylor leaving? in the forum Football 7 years ago
Its that time of year. Any coach with even half assed success at any level and no morals charges gets into some discussion of vacancies.
Don’t get your undies in a bunch. I think he needs a good year of progress under his system before the big serious money offers start to show up. That is, unfortunately, the nature of the sport.

Last year’s night game in Boulder was the first late game in this series. All the previous ones were day games.

Gary Sapp replied to the topic If Atl fires Sark, I’d try to get him here in some capacity. in the forum Football 7 years, 1 month ago
Not so much that we like him in comparison, its just we need to stick with someone and build some continuity. And at this point, he seems like the most likely guy to get us an offense built we have seen in 12 years.
