Cool! Then I’m anxious to see who they recruit in 2026. 2029 could be special!

Cuz your dead last in the conference in recruiting in 2019/2020.

Chico McClather and Arron Fuller suck balls. You should hope they play because Aaron Fuller will drop 3 passes and Chico McClatcher will fumble or take stupid routes. UW is better off without them.

Those two being out will force the Dawgs in to using more of Puka Nacua and Hunter Bryant, who will torch the Utes.

Utah sucks in November until they don’t.
Petersen owns Whitt until he doesn’t.
Anything can happen and Utah is playing in November, in Husky stadium against a very talented, well coached team coming off a bye week.

This has all the makings for major Ute disappointment.

No way the Pac-12 gets a team in the CFP, NO FRIGGIN WAY!

2 SEC team will go (likely Alabama and LSU)
      Clemson
The Big10 Champion (likely Ohio State)

No way a one loss P12 gets in over a 1 loss SEC team or a 1 loss Big10 team.

Utah needs to focus on the Rose Bowl and the only way they’re going to that is to beat Oregon in the P12 Championship.

So at this point we know Lander plays well against mediocre HS teams and he’s arguably the best defensive player on a middle of the road team. Sounds like he’s above average.

I’m going to watch him play Woods Cross next week.

He’ll probably be a 3 or 4 start recruit once it’s all said and done. Rumor is he likes Texas but I’d bet $$$ he ends up at Utah.

Recruiting does correlate to on field success. Look at Bama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson the last 4 or 5 years. They’re ranked highest on final recruiting classes. They get the best talent in the country, period.

Oh wait! Those are also the teams who make the CFP. Recruiting matters. Don’t kid yourself.

I’m not saying one method works and the other doesn’t. Oregon offered 300 kids and they are ranked #1 in the conference right now for recruiting. Washington only offered 70 kids and Washington is ranked #2 in the conference in recruiting.

I just can’t help but think if Utah is so good at preparing guys for the NFL, what would happen to the program, the Wins and Losses, etc. if instead of taking 2 and 3 star guys, they were getting 3 and 4 star guys?

It’s the same argument I made when Peterson went from Boise State to Washington. What can he do if he gets better talent and develops it as well as he did at Boise State. He’s clearly improved Washington but I think the jury is still out on if he’s taking 3 and 4 star guys and turning them in to top notch NFL talent.
