Utah offered almost every 5* kid out there. We know Alabama does that as a routine along with all of the so-called perennial programs. Over the last few years, Utah has been getting closer to landing one. The Utes have secured the services of more 4* kids and if the LB who transferred from UCLA clears his medical, Utah will have a 5* kid…[Read more]

In so many ways, I have massive CFP fatigue right now. For the next three plus weeks my give-a-shit meter is pegged to I don’t care. I just want to enjoy the games, one at a time, ESPN and their know-it-all SEC-centric sports announcers be damned.
Utah will demolish UCLA, that’s my view. No RUTS required. It’s just gonna be a consequence of how…[Read more]

UtahFanSir started the topic Question about SOS in the forum Football 5 years ago
Is the SOS pressure tested by week 10-11 so that it is essentially normalized? What I mean by that is we know a number of top ranked teams fall out, others stay highly ranked even if they don’t play a rigorous schedule. So whatever the SOS was early, is by this time unless it is normalized to actual play its not relevent. I’ve read that many SEC…[Read more]

Utah recruits the ESPN Top 300. I looked the other day at all of the unsigned kids in the Top 300. With a few exceptions, Utah has offered all of them. That is particularly true for any recruit in the Pac-12 footprint. It includes Texas and Florida, and states adjacent. Utah’s recruiting tapers off in the NE, but a few had Utah offers. I suspect…[Read more]

Watch the Youtube video. The kid is amazing. I’d love to get him and a couple of this receivers to come to Utah.

With Andy Ludwig doing the recruiting? I don’t think so. I believe AL is going to recruit and build a great offense at Utah to match what we have seen from KW et alia for a decade.

Tate Rodemaker, a Georgia HS QB who last summer committed to UCF, just received an offer from Andy. AL made the trip to Georgia to see this kid, who has been absolutely tearing it up in Georgia, in practice and offered that day. He is 6-4, 195-pound Pro-Style Quarterback from Valdosta, GA.
Here some numbers: RecruitGeorgia Tate Rodemaker.

I know most of the Ute fans have had a love-hate relationship with GM and more than a few of you will not read his work. But over the last week or so, he has written two very complimentary articles about Utah football.

I agree. The bye week, I trust, will permit some guys who are banged up to get closer to 100%.
This team is special, for sure. What I like about them is the way they support each other as a team. Guys seem to be fine with sharing reps, as long as the primary goal is met: just win. You can tell that there is a rare tightness to this squad.
