“THE” Ohio State fans have the rare, painful occasion tonight they are forced to be Michigan fans to get to the Rose Bowl.

Trailgoat started the topic Rising in the forum Football 2 years, 11 months ago
Rising knew last night he needed to step up and set the leadership tone for his team. Rising’s numbers may not have jumped off the stat sheet, but his team leadership, toughness, IT factor to make big plays in key situations are what makes this team roll. The players see the amount of effort he puts into the game while calmly leading his team with…[Read more]

2019 Oregon came into the CCG with a chip on their shoulder with all the Oline and Dline toughness hype Utah was getting. Utes did not plan or adjust to Herbert running the ball and Oregon pushed Utah around in the trenches. KW has slayed the USC road win dragon and the WTF loss that killed their CCG position.
Agree on the point made about not…[Read more]

Trailgoat started the topic The USC fan base and media slobbering over the Riley hire is entertaining in the forum Football 2 years, 12 months ago
USC is desparately searching for a coach or someone to recapture the good old days. Riley will figure out quick the P12 is a much different animal than the Big 12 and the days of USC being the golden child of Southern California are long gone. I give Riley 2-3 years at most coaching at USC. No doubt he’s a great coach and will win some games, but…[Read more]

Trailgoat started the topic Special teams could very well determine Utah's fate in the P12 Championship. in the forum Football 2 years, 12 months ago
At this point, all indications are Utah’s STs are unfixable. Utah may be better off onside kicking the ball and going for it on 4th down or taking a safety if deep in their own territory. Whoever is recruiting kickers and coaching the STs needs a new assignment. Baffling how Utah’s kickers are incapable of kicking the ball out of the endzone at…[Read more]

Love it…more disrespect from the media to fire these guys up. Beating Oregon again would be fantastic.

Good problem to have. Jackson, Johnson and the Rose kid fit the mold of Utah’s offense as well. Best of luck to Costelli.

TT is very quick and reads the running gaps very well. Reminds me of a big Booker.
Covey obviously has the green light to return kicks. He runs so much stronger now. Don’t expect to see him do it this agains CU, but gurantee he has the green light in Vegas. Kid is no joke and I would not be surprised to see him take a KO to the house before the…[Read more] -
Trailgoat started the topic Pledger and Bernard a couple of badass football players right there. in the forum Football 3 years ago
May not get all the media looks as Tavian. Of course the Oline is huge. Pledger and Bernard make this offense very difficult to defend. The offense does not stop pounding out yards when Tavian is out getting 3-4 plays to rest. Listening to TJ on the post game interview….man, this dude is the real deal. Favorite quote, (not exact), I have played…[Read more]

Lee Corso and Desmond Howard have run their course on GameDay. To be fair, Utah has a history of tightening up in these big spot light games. Tonight that all changes.

Would be awesome to feel the stadium shake while the pilots gas it over the stadium. Hell, half our paychecks went to putting those bad boys in the air, put em’ to good use. Might be tough to hear them over the MUSS roar! Go Utes!

Trailgoat replied to the topic Do you ever wish that a coach would tell the truth in the forum Misc 3 years ago
IIRC, KW is contractually obligated, like all HCs to go through the motions with these media encounters if they want their media bonus check. Clearly his tone and non-verbal message indicates he would rather lay on a bed of nails.
KW knows the media is paid to do their job and having done this show for so many years he responds irreverently to…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Many Ute fans seem worried about the sacks we will give up in the forum Football 3 years ago
Good news Ford is all set to play. Is it clear if Tavion is healthy enough to play? Rising has dodged a few picks with bad passes into coverage over the last couple games. Utes cannot turn the ball over. UO and Utah are very evenly matched on O and D.
UO has a huge advantage on Special Teams. Could very well be a KO return, punt block, missed…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic I hope that our football team does not feel like I do in the forum Football 3 years ago
A lot of football to play. Crazy thing is ASU could still end up winning the South. Having watched Utah football for many years I have zero expectations. Utah should of course beat up UofA and UC, but Utah’s been here before. I have a feeling it will come down to a must win for Utah to beat CU. Go Utes!

Trailgoat replied to the topic Playoff rankings drop tonight…do Utes land in Top 25? in the forum Football 3 years ago
Yogi has good insight at times, but also goes off on head scratching tangents. Maybe he’s not on the screen as much doing other gigs with the P12 Network fading away. Maybe I don’t see him as much, but it does seem Yogi has backed way off on supporting Utah as he’s done in the past since the 2019 season when he was hyping up Utah big time until…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic What I want to see Saturday in the forum Football 3 years ago
Agree. Utes are going to need an effective pass game against Oregon. Oregon will crowd the line hoping to slow Utah’s run game. IMO, this year’s Utah offense is more balanced and overall better than the 2019 offense.
Oregon is a big game for Rising in the air and on the ground. He will be the difference maker for Utah to win. Taking care of UofA…[Read more]

Arizona’s offense is flat out horrible. That Cal game was nothing more than a glorified pillow fight. UofA continues to improve and hung in there with UW and USC. Other than UO, Cats have not played a more stubborn, physical defense or physical offense than Utah. This game should be over at half time. Would like to see Rising get more reps in the…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Chip and Herm on the hot seat in the forum Pac-12 3 years ago
Chip gets two more years at least. UCLA should be good next year. Still a lot of football left. UCLA has a good shot to win out and go to a bowl game at 8-4 (6-3 p12). That’s a damn good season ending up 2nd in the South.
If Utah and ASU completely meltdown, UCLA could still win the South. ASU is in a bit of a funk losing their last two games so…[Read more] - Load More
