Trailgoat started the topic Dennis Erickson's impact in the forum Football 3 years, 12 months ago
Dennis Erickson’s had a significant impact on offensive player recruitment, development and behind the scenes offense coordination at Utah. If I have the years correct or close to it, last years seniors was essentially DEs last class of offensive recruits to leave Utah, including Shelley and Dixon, who were big losses for Utah as we all know. DE…[Read more]

UW played a role helping Utah out sleep walking in the first half. Utah did the same in the 2nd half sleeping a little longer than UW did.

Other than Rising any other players out for UW?

Trailgoat replied to the topic Rising Status in the forum Football 4 years ago
Did Rising get hurt on the fumble play? #93 for USC ran right past Utah’s left guard on that play. Rising had no chance.

Practice or not, Utah has a wide talent gap at Oline against the top athletic teams in the P12. Last three games, including Texas, have demonstrated the weakness goes beyond this season. No deep threat at WR as well and all the athletic teams know it. Ludwig needs to get creative. Go Utes!

Trailgoat replied to the topic time to enter the which-other-game-will-be-cancelled lotto in the forum Football 4 years ago
Hate to say it, USC and ASU are likely a no go. Whether Utah is ready or not, I highly doubt USC is going to risk a trip to SLC now in the P12 Championship hunt and NY6 or play-off hunt. To much at stake. Some schools have it figured out and others don’t. How Notre Dame played this weekend shows how weird this thing is. Notre Dame players were…[Read more]

Trailgoat started the topic This won't be popular. KW, Harlan, and the Coaches are in part to blame. in the forum Football 4 years ago
Everybody knew the game plan and drill going into the season and Utah could not get it done. Help me understand how BYU has been playing for two months in a similar environment with minimal if no cases, yet Utah has two months to prepare and blows it. Most importantly of course I feel horrible for the kids and wish good health for the kids that…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic So how good will we be? in the forum Football 4 years, 1 month ago
Offense and more offense. WRs need to step up big and not disappear against athletic teams. IMO, Bentley and Rising are going to be huge difference makers on offense. Big question mark, can the Oline deliver? Not too worried about the defense. Young defense will take their lumps early in the short season as the new kids acclimate to the P12 pace.…[Read more]

Surely vaulting to #1 after possible big wins against UTSA, Texas State, Western KY, North Alabama, and Houston. This Cat has been hitting on that amoeba, brain eating water in Texas. Many flaws exposed this year in college football. No surprise the early year rankings/polls have been consistently useless as always.

Agree. California schools have already bent the knee for Pelosi and Newsom. Oregon is no different with the shit show leadership running that state.

Trailgoat started the topic Next few weeks will tell a lot more. P12 can spin it all they want in the forum Football 4 years, 2 months ago
with the rapid testing “breakthrough” with some testing company making a bunch of money out of it. Spoiler alert, rapid testing is not new. If the ACC, B12, SEC, and now the BIG working on a plan to possibly play this should be the down fall for the P12. Why the P12 schools are pretending this is no big deal is baffling? There has to be more to…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Per CDC JUST 6% OF COVID DEATHS OCCURRED WITHOUT CO-MORBIDITIES – PLAY BALL!! in the forum Politics 4 years, 2 months ago
To add there is a hell of a lot more people older, with co-morbid conditions, and other related health factors that have mild symptoms or never knew they had C19. Viral load plays a role as well. Would be interesting to see how many of the deaths to people in the 6% group with no known underlying health conditions were exposed to higher viral,…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic i know there are a lot of Utah fans worried about the pac 12 being the only in the forum Football 4 years, 3 months ago
Shall be interesting. Either way, P12 fans are getting a front row seat to a classic example of how a once prominent organization goes out of business. I would not be surprised if there was some sort of big conference shake up in the next year completely dissolving the P12.

Trailgoat replied to the topic So at this point are we hoping there is no football for anyone in the Fall? in the forum Football 4 years, 3 months ago
Honest question. Are colleges legally required to blast out to the public every time they have a positive Covid case? I don’t get why ever time there is positive case on a college sports program it gets posted on all the media outlets. The schools working to sustain their sports and school programs should be given every bit of resources and…[Read more]

Another overlooked revenue loss is the number of current and incoming college students opting out of attending college this year. Not sure how big of an impact it is right now.

Trailgoat started the topic Big 12, ACC, and SEC could very well be the Forest Gump shrimp boats. in the forum Football 4 years, 3 months ago
Yeah, Covid19 world making me nuts :)! The other conference leaders are begging them not to play this Fall. It will be a huge set back for the P12 if some how the B12, ACC, and SEC pull off playing some version of Fall football with an effective virus mitigation management plan. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Trailgoat started the topic IF college football collectively moves to Spring. I would be surprised in the forum Football 4 years, 3 months ago
if there would not be a ton of opposition from some groups on and off campus? What does it mean for the other sports, TitleIX, facilities, logistics, expenses, etc? Totally shooting in the dark as it can’t be that simple to just flip football to Spring. College football is the bread winner for the schools and sports programs so a decision may wash…[Read more]
