Agree, arguably Utah’s most versatile WR.

Caught part of the late radio talk show on KALL during my drive through SLC yesterday. Listened to the radio dude repeatly ramble and whine for about thirty minutes (lost contact around Ogdenish) the same mantra the Utah/P12 players deserve most all of the demands asked for minus some of the revenue sharing. Not arguing against some of the subject…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Half of those who've voted so far think 6-4. in the forum Football 4 years, 3 months ago
6-4 seems reasonable. Anything better would be excellent. As a thirty year football fan, I still sit in awe when I read the teams Utah has on their schedule being in the p12. Utes are not a one year reload team yet at some positions. Baffling how the head coach was a stud LB in college and this position continues to be a head scratcher in terms of…[Read more]

Looks like JUCO football is moving in that direction. I hope the NCAA does not go this route.

Trailgoat replied to the topic Honest question. What has Harlan done as AD to make Utah athletics better in the forum Misc 4 years, 5 months ago
Agree. Arkansas is Meh. Florida connection with Mullen and BJ probably sealed the deal with Florida. LSU is a decade away. Hell, Pace may be coach by then and Utah could be in the same conference as LSU in 10 years :)! Highly doubt LSU will stick.

since CH retired? I am far from in the know so hopefully there is more to it. Has Harlan been riding the coattials of Chris Hill’s hard work?

Trailgoat replied to the topic College football coaching job tiers in the forum Football 4 years, 5 months ago
Interesting. My guess Utah was in the 4/5 tier range. Good to see Utes up there in solid company. Oregon is overrated IMO. Take away the 4 years of Chip Kelly and UO is Tier 3 program. Granted UO has an endless pot (pun somewhat intended) of money we all contribute to through buying Nike products supporting killer facilities and high end player…[Read more]

A lot of solid advice. I agree with a shotgun for in-home protection for all the reasons mentioned when you’re home and a dip shit is bold or f’d up enough to enter your home uninvited. The sound of lock and load is your first line of defense without pulling the trigger, which I’m sure all agree on this thread is the last thing anyone wants to do.…[Read more]

Trailgoat started the topic While we wait for football start. Help me understand how Gonzaga has had so much in the forum Basketball (Men) 4 years, 6 months ago
success and Utah basketball has completely gone the other direction? Some factors play in, Head Coach, Mark Few, BB only school, consistent program stability. Hard to rationalize LK is doing a bang up job at Utah. Have to believe the only thing keeping LK employed at Utah right now is his big contract, BB celebrity status, and Harlan too young in…[Read more]

Agree, the only credible local Utah media are Bartle, Kamrani, Kall700 crew, local podcasts, and the P12 Network crew, others I am missing on Twitter and of course Utehub :). Utah local TV and newspaper journalists on the ground in Utah get paid to keep the Utah-BYU rivalry intact maintaining viewership to appease advertising dollars. It’s a…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Explains why LSU is the national champions in the forum Football 4 years, 7 months ago
Crazy how many high level players go to LSU and Alabama. Developed 4-5 star talent matters. Utah is starting to attract some of these kids. Three to possibly 4 drafted Utah DBs speaks volumes to the Utah program and coaching staff.
All three of the Utah DBs drafted if not stupid with their money and can hang in the league for a few years are…[Read more]

Utah is getting recognition as a great place to play football, attain a solid education, experience college life in a beautiful, safe city. Utah is a program with a family centered environment, high character coaches, and a stable atmosphere. Add in the number of players Utah is developing for the NFL, no surprise.

Feel for the small business owners out there and the frontline health care workers put in unsafe working conditions committed to helping others. True heroic compassion for humanity.

Walked into the store for toilet paper and water. Left the store with only bourbon and 12 boxes of thin mint and Samoa GS cookies. All set for social distancing :)!

Trailgoat replied to the topic How much better is acceptable next year? in the forum Basketball (Men) 4 years, 8 months ago
Agree. No tourney, no more LK. Sad how low expectations have fallen for Ute BB. Harlan needs to step up or called out if no expectations are set. Low fan attendance, yearly transfers, and another year out of the tourney should be performance standards. Program youth is no longer an excuse.

Trailgoat replied to the topic Rick Majerus Tournament Appearances in the forum Basketball (Men) 4 years, 9 months ago
Solid post. I don’t recall Big Rick losing by double digit points many times or ever losing by 20+ points. If and when it happened he would go completely balistic. Bottom line, this years team is playing worse BB than they did the first half of the season. Two more games to get this season over with and move on to the Spring transfer watch. Go Utes!

Agree. IMHO, Pace’s banter and “Eddy Haskel” (sp) internet persona is a bit more entertaining than a three page thread on Ute fans and their love-hate relationship with BYU.
Thanks Tony for putting together a solid-entertaining message board for us wild Ute fans :)!
