That is an awesome photo! I am guessing you won’t see a Ute QB do this again. Coaches are not fond of their QBs getting airborne in the open field.

Agree…these are unfair assumptions regarding Herm Edwards. I am actually glad HE is in the P12. He’s good for the conference. Get over Daniels. I know Daniels is a highly rated dual threat QB. IMO, Rising is aligned more with future Utah QBs. Daniels is listed at 6’3″ 175lbs, meaning he’s probably more like 6’2″ 170. The dual threat QBs of his stature fight injuries their entire career in the P12.

The OC swinging door has not helped with offensive recruiting. I would not blame a kid like Nacua or Willmore going else where considering what’s been going on with Utah’s offense. Agree…Utah’s recruiting is long term. Need at least 1-2 H.S. recruits next year to compete with Shelley and Rising. Spring ball should tell us a lot about Rising. Upside Ludwig is a QB coach as well. He has enough tenure to know what is needed for the future after Spring Ball.

Will argue, Rising received much better 1st year college coaching at Texas then Tuttle. Ludwig will change that at Utah. Let’s be clear, Ludwig has without a doubt Utah’s best OC. There is so much upside to CR coming to Utah. Tuttle coning and going has many program blessings. Utah broke through landing a top level QB. Tuttle leaving shows the level of play is high at Utah. for more than one year over this current constant turnover. The biggest problem is recruiting, player development, and stability a result of the musical chairs OC. Beginning to wonder if in the small circle of the coaching world maybe words out the Utah OC job ain’t all that much fun. Gary picked up the young Sanford kid very quick who IMO is a better OC than Harding, ARod, and TT.

Freddie Brown was a beast in that game. Utes could use a WR like FB. Dude ran great routes and was a great blocker. Godfrey, Reed, Brooks, and Casteel were also solid receivers.

I understand he should be good to go for next year. Not sure what his pro opportunity might be. He is definitely from the same mold as Welker and Beasley. Would hate to see his talent wasted on yearly OC turnover over the next couple years.

Out coached in the 2nd half. As KW would say…we made them one dimensional. KWhitt struggles to effectively coach his teams to play as winners. The team culture is more comfortable playing as the hunters not the hunted.

Whit is a business man. He was playing Utah with the BYU job offer drama and the Tennessee hop scotch. Don’t kid yourself, KW wants to live in Utah and will play his hand to keep his job. It ain’t about winning, it’s about manipulating everybody to believe KW is bigger than Utah football so he keeps his job.
