Hopefully the pilots gas it over the stadium. The F-35 are scary-bad ass loud.

Bottom line for this game.
Receivers and Oline I’m sure have heard plenty about the poor blocking, crappy route running and butter fingers. I personally as a fan will be watching these guys step up to the challenge. Utes will need sacks and plus turnovers to win this game.I hope the game does not come down to end of game coach decision-making…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Whittingham has not had it easy against Petersen. in the forum Football 6 years, 2 months ago
Petersen is flat out a better coach. Develops players for the needs of the team and does the little things to get victories in close games. Last year was a great example when Whit got cute and paid for it. That game should of been put away by Utah long before the last series. Whit struggles to close games when given the advantage. Petersen does a…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Another clear targeting call NO call? in the forum Football 6 years, 2 months ago
Probably already covered yesterday, so advanced apology. The missed call on Browning yesterday was deplorable. That missed call could be argued it cost UW the game. I don’t believe for a second the refs hold safety over making calls they know may impact the outcome of a game. This is one of the main jobs of the head referee standing behind the QB…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic It is week one. BUT in the forum Football 6 years, 2 months ago
Will come down to eliminating the two WTF losses plaguing this program. 100% on coach KW. No more depth, and player excuses. Coach KW needs to get over the hump on the UW, Oregon, Colorado type losses that have kept the Utes from winning the South. IMO, Gary Anderson will be the difference from a coaching perspective. Great opportunity to get it…[Read more]

Not if you’re a Dodger fan. That was a crazy ending. Machado’s response was classic. Dodgers do not have enough guys that can get base hits. Puig is one of the most overrated players in baseball.

Trailgoat started the topic Over the hump keys to winning the South in the forum Football 6 years, 3 months ago
A lot covered already with waaaay more informed fans on this site than I. Utah has been so close to winning the South. Easy to point out the WTF Colorado loss at UC with poor red zone play. OU at home etc- and all the others. There were also a number of good wins that made it close to start with that Utah stepped up. The key is closing on the…[Read more]

That is one tough schedule. 7-5 seems reasonable considering the 1-2 WTF loss factor.

Don’t forget the versatile Darnell Arceneaux…:) Miss the days of walking up at game time and getting a decent-cheap seat…not reaaly!
I do agree the QB position is on the rise. Already helping the WR recruiting. Right now IMO, the receiver crew is a mixed bag of some very average players and promising unproven talent (excluding Covey if he…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Puka Nacua to USC in the forum Football 6 years, 5 months ago
Can’t blame Sampson for being honest about his own situation at Utah. Utah WRs in my short sided fan opinion are by far the weakest player group on the team. Last year, the current Utah players were not even close to the talent level of Carrington. Probably weak recruiting a result of all of the Offensive Coordinator turnover. Huntley’s biggest…[Read more]

The Stuttering you see is the Utes “no show” playing. UC Davis showed up…Utah a sleep.

Blow out loss not going to help with NCAA bid. Colorado win or lose, IMO, Utes will need at minimum need to get to the P12 Tournament Championship game to even be considered to get in the NCAA tourney. Problem is they will probably need to play USC before the P12 Championship game. USC just flat out has better more athletic players.

This game is looking a lot like the first USC game. Colette is so up and down as a player.

Trailgoat replied to the topic I just love projections… in the forum Football 6 years, 9 months ago
Under Coach Whit the projection is fairly simple considering his tenure in the P12. A great season is 9 overall wins, 5-4 in the P12. Good season, 7-8 wins overall 4-5 in the P12. At NIU is not a sure win, could be first of the WTF losses Utah experiences every year. Weber sure win. BYU rivalry game always close, should be Ute win. Oregon, USC,…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic I’m proud of this team in the forum Basketball (Men) 6 years, 10 months ago
Not sure it gives them “momentum”? Tough loss that could of been a big win with the last shot to win it. Bottom line, the loss is no different than a 20 point loss if the goal is to get to the big dance. Utes are overall improving as a basketball team playing UofA close to the wire. They played hard and did not give up. Will be interesting to see…[Read more]

Trailgoat replied to the topic Putting on my tinfoil hat…. in the forum Football 6 years, 10 months ago
Agree…at some point the program medocrity and inflated cost to attend will result in a downward trend of attendance. The mass fan base will choose an alternative activity rather than sit and watch a poorly prepared football team lose 2-3 home games. There is a limit to how much the average fan will pay for bad football.

Trailgoat replied to the topic Niumatalolo to Arizona? in the forum Pac-12 6 years, 10 months ago
It ain’t that complicated. Coach Niumatalolo is an excellent coach and will successfully run whatever offense he wants to. He makes lemonade with lemons. If he ends up at UofA, the next couple years will be interesting for Utah football with better coaches coming into the league. Let’s hope the Utes can at least beat Herm Edwards at ASU :).

Utah football/basketball are not good enough to fire either KW or LK. .500 and stadium sell out is pure success for Utah football.
