Total bummer. Glad Kuithe got the opportunity to play again at Utah, he showed solid leadership during obscurity that bodes well for future life challenges. Depending on the extent of his injury, Kuithe still has a shot in the NFL. Probably a silver lining he’s exiting the sh&@ show program now as its only going to get worse over the next few w…[Read more]

  • Vintage KW 2nd half football, vanilla offense, sitting on a small lead leaning on defense to hang on. Everyone in the building knew what the game plan would be from KW in the 2nd half. Jay Hill made 2nd half adjustments shutting Utah’s offense down anticipating KW’s typical playing the analytic clock game instead of playing football. Sure the hol…[Read more]

Pressure is on BYU. Utah has a different kind of pressure. Losing a 5th game in a row and to BYU at home may cause another wave of unhappy Utah fans if we see the same listless QB play, dropped passes, and missed blocks. I think we’ll see where it’s headed early in the first quarter after the initial game emotion wears off.

If there’s one word to describe this football team it’s fragile.

  • Might take a couple seasons to become more interested in the B12. Still have a P12 hangover, finding more interest in watching USC vs UW than KSU vs Houston. It was so much easier and cheaper from where I live to go see Utah games on the West Coast. Nothing against, Stillwater, Waco, Fort Worth, all the other beautiful locations in the B12.…[Read more]

  • Pile on alert! Scary when digging into some of the game numbers over the past month. Arizona has not won a game since beating Utah at the RES. In the 5 games after Utah, opposing teams avg 38 points a game against UofA. Utah’s 10 points scored against UofA is the lowest point total allowed all season by UofA equal to NAU. Caleb Lohner scored the…[Read more]

  • Solid post. Next 4 games should be interesting. KW goes out on his terms of course, rightfully so.

Does MS really want to wait around a couple years while KW ponders his retirement trying to fix what he has stated he doesn’t know what to fix?

MS may find a better growing experience outside the Utah bubble, starting fresh at a well supported G…[Read more]

  • Add in the anemic offense with its list of issues going against a DC and HC knowing Utah’s flat offensive scheme and tendencies. Hoping Sitake learned from KW how to orchestrate the yearly WTF game next week so Utah has a chance. KW’s taking it to a new level with the WTF season. Maybe we’ll see some optimistic rivalry magic and B12 after dark…[Read more]

  • Looking forward to a fresh start with MS allowing a new OC to do his job not interfering with recruiting and developing QBs fitting a new offensive system. Unfortunately, KW for all his accomplishments ends his career with the same recurring issues he could never really escape. Beginning to think Ludwig may be the smartest one of all to flee the…[Read more]

  • Agree UD. Huge Bernard fan. He’s been put in a crappy situation and keeps grinding. Bernard’s role at Utah has mostly been the 2 or 3 back in the rotation adding more of a pass threat with solid run capability. Solid blitz pick up blocker in pass pro. Every down bell cow RB carrying the ball 20+ times a game is not his jam. Problem compounded by…[Read more]

  • Trailgoat replied to the topic This could be worse. in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago

The defense is doing very well considering the complete lack of production from the offense and the amount of time they spend on the field following 3 and outs on almost every offensive possession.

  • Trailgoat replied to the topic BYU vs Utah Tickets in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago

For better or worse, 2 week selling window with a bye week is only going to make it worse. Not sure anything at this point changes the direction of a broken locker room. I’m sure we’ll hear more from players when the season ends after the UCF game.

  • Wait…UNLV runs RPO where the QB room comprises QBs with the same profile that actually run the ball on the right read. The UNLV back-up QB steps right in. Everyone knows 5’10” 190lb Wilson is not running the ball more than 1-2 times a game, especially with no backup QB worthy of playing per KW. The Ludwig “complex” offense excuse is a cop out.…[Read more]

Maybe BR is content with getting a paid for education, some team NIl cash, drive around in a free truck, enjoying the school and team/friends/college life. Not a bad gig. Crazy what college football has turned into.

  • Agree on the OC point. Doesn’t make sense for KW to hire the OC if Morgan is taking over in the next 1-2 years. Naming a coach in waiting secures continuity with Morgan and signals KW has his eye on the door. I’m sure there’s perk overlap with the consultant gig in his contract. Good hell, KW makes enough $ for 10 people to comfortably retir…[Read more]

Yeah, filled the golf bags with Uinta Cuthroat and played on. Good times.

Most fans at all football IQ levels can tell the difference between good and bad football. Attended the TCU game after a couple of years mostly catching Utah on the road in Cali or Wash. The crowd was into the game for most of the first half. MUSS has grown a lot since the last RES game I attended. Great day in SLC. I thought it was a solid fan…[Read more]

and ranked #10 in the AP poll. Attended the game Saturday on short notice. On a positive note, I was impressed with the fan turnout and how the MUSS has grown since I last attended a game. A lot of fans peeled out at half time tired of watching late night very bad football, can’t argue with that. Had flash backs to my first Utah football game…[Read more]

  • Solid post. Watch the last three offensive series prior to Gatorgate. Cam looked very rusty after Baylor made some adjustments on D and CR spinned through Ludwig’s 10-12 scripted play series. Once CR got into Ludwig calling plays from the box, the offense slowed down. Pre 2024 CR runs right around the Baylor DE on the injury play. High e…[Read more]
