  • Agree. Find a school with offensive stability. I’m sure he and his family are already on it. Kid’s been set up to fail by his HC and OC. No way he should been thrown into the situation as a true Frosh.

  • Could argue looking at KW’s 14 year record in the P12/B12 era, 21-22 seasons are somewhat of an anomaly. KW’s overall P12/B12 conference record is 63-54 (minus Covid). Utah’s 21-22 conference record is 15-3. Outside of the 21-22 seasons, Utah averages 4.6 conference, median 4 conference losses per season. Utah is 5-5 in bowl games with no bowl win…[Read more]

  • If we’re playing fortune teller based on KWs comments, then plan on Rising returning as Utahs QB next season if KW comes back for his redemption tour.

  • Program is a mess right now. Agree on fan support. Attended the TCU game, place was packed and fans going crazy. MUSS looks bigger every time I get to a home game. The BYU game looked even more crazy from the couch with the camera shaking. I expect more of the same Saturday. Looking forward to Scalley to add a fresh approach to an already solid…[Read more]

  • Utah had an overall losing conference record the first 8 years of playing in the P12. 2019 was the first year Utah got over the hump to an overall P12 winning record. Utah’s conference record the first 10 years in the P12 2011-2020 (counting covid year, 3-2) is 45-41. Makes sense KW dumped all his chips on Rising after the 2021 and 2022 P12 c…[Read more]

Agree. Team first. Never got into being a fan of coaches or players. I find the KW fan hysteria interesting especially looking at KW’s win-loss record over time. Hard to let go of the 21/22 seasons. Easy to see why KW obsessed over Rising considering the two conference championships and Rose Bowl appearances in 21/22 seasons the pinnacle of KW’s…[Read more]

Said it before. Leach was brilliant at making a complex system simple with plug and play WRs and QBs fitting his system. QBs we’re essentially the same skill set. His list of QBs he coached and QBs that went through the WSU system is impressive. Over the past 20 years under KW, Snoop-Erickson, Smith-Mcbride recruit, the QB position talent has b…[Read more]

  • What credible OC in their right mind takes the OC job if KW decides to stay for his “day to day” retirement plan? Defense is a great selling point, everything else is nothing but red flags. College coaching is a tight group. Only takes a couple quick phone calls to find out the OC job at Utah under KW is a no win situation. Nothings going to cha…[Read more]

Three of Utah’s 5 QBs end their season in hospital beds following a mid season trip to the OR.

  • I rationalize it as CR got paid out for the 21-22 seasons. The injury misinformation by Rising corp, local media, and KW is what is.

  • First couple weeks after the season ends are going to be interesting to watch. Does KW hang it up or play through on the end of career rehab tour? Does MS stick around or jump ship to a stable, supported G5 head coach job. Who’s the new OC? Where is Harlan when the season ends? One constant in all the turmoil is fan support. TCU game was awesome a…[Read more]

  • Solid post.
Yup. KW > Utah football. KW stays as long as he wants and does whatever he wants, win or lose. KW goes 0-12 next year he keeps on coaching. Let’s be honest, Utah football being bad is really not that important to the University as long as fans keep filling seats and boosters donate $.

  • AD: If Harlan’s going to be on the field, why did he not jump out and tackle the BYU KO returner running down the sidelines. At least he would of had a meaningful outcome on the game. KW may have given him the game ball. I expect to see Harlan in full football gear for remaining games ready to help the special teams. Plenty of opportunities in t…[Read more]

Man, I hope LK gets some pass action the next three weeks. I always look to see if he’s out there. Fan favorite. The phantom holding call on him was complete BS and was as impactful as ZV holding gate.

Hopefully IW is good to go at QB. It’s officially his team if he wants it if the BR rumors are true. No more BS about who’s playing QB, time to…[Read more]

  • I thought the same thing Miami. Why not spin up some drama :). Seems out of character for Harlan who is very careful about how he presents himself through the media. To go scorched earth from his usual smooshy persona seems odd. Good on him. That said, he could be fed up with his pathetic football team and needed a public vent. Personally, not…[Read more]

Total bummer. Glad Kuithe got the opportunity to play again at Utah, he showed solid leadership during obscurity that bodes well for future life challenges. Depending on the extent of his injury, Kuithe still has a shot in the NFL. Probably a silver lining he’s exiting the sh&@ show program now as its only going to get worse over the next few w…[Read more]

  • Vintage KW 2nd half football, vanilla offense, sitting on a small lead leaning on defense to hang on. Everyone in the building knew what the game plan would be from KW in the 2nd half. Jay Hill made 2nd half adjustments shutting Utah’s offense down anticipating KW’s typical playing the analytic clock game instead of playing football. Sure the hol…[Read more]

  • Trailgoat replied to the topic Presssure is on BYU in the forum Football 4 months, 2 weeks ago

Pressure is on BYU. Utah has a different kind of pressure. Losing a 5th game in a row and to BYU at home may cause another wave of unhappy Utah fans if we see the same listless QB play, dropped passes, and missed blocks. I think we’ll see where it’s headed early in the first quarter after the initial game emotion wears off.

If there’s one word to describe this football team it’s fragile.

  • Might take a couple seasons to become more interested in the B12. Still have a P12 hangover, finding more interest in watching USC vs UW than KSU vs Houston. It was so much easier and cheaper from where I live to go see Utah games on the West Coast. Nothing against, Stillwater, Waco, Fort Worth, all the other beautiful locations in the B12.…[Read more]
