Yeah I realized that and changed the title of the post to “if” because there is still a possibility.

Steve Bartle announced, he may have jumped the gun as I don’t see it anywhere else.

Jay replied to the topic Wilmore to the transfer portal in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
Wilmore was our 3rd string back, you thought we were just going to put him in over Ty Jordan when Jordan is averaging 8 yards a carry? Bernard in his limited carries has shown more than Wilmore has this year or last year, he doesn’t fit our scheme well.

Jay replied to the topic I hate the transfer portal in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
Completely disagree, Wilmore and brumfield don’t deserve touches over jordan and bernard but deserve to have a chance elsewhere and the portal gives them that chance, hope the best for them. We still have ricky parks coming in who looks like another monster and we probably need just one more for depth but we’re fine.

With Cristobal gone can we steal Suamataia, Jackson Light, or Jeffery Bassa?

Obviously you can’t tell us who’s out for tomorrow but any idea on the amount of starters that will be out with Covid/contact tracing?

I agree Moala and Pututau are experienced and very good, but once again they are not pass rushers. Tafua has not yet shown he can continually pass rush and get pressure, although I’m not saying he can’t. You have a loose definition of what experience is, because Vonte Davis and Sewell both have about one game experience with the first team, and…[Read more]

I think we’re not giving BYU credit where credit is due, and yes I know that’s blasphemy and I’ll get downvoted to hell, but this is their best year they’ve had in awhile. And this is because of mostly 2 things: Pass blocking and play calling. Granted they haven’t played anyone, but that O-Line looks great and is the reason for their success.…[Read more]

I would love for you to be right, but you’re banking on a lot of inexperience, these guys need time to develop. As for Sewell, I would go watch what he did against Oregon last year, hopefully he has changed, but he played like what he is, a 2* transfer from Nevada. I like our inside guys Moala and Pututau, but our interior lineman traditionally a…[Read more]

I’m not gonna say we would lose, because KWitt owns BYU, but let’s be honest, that would be one of our first games, and that would be their 9-10th game of the season. Also, their two strengths on offense are most likely our two weaknesses on defense this season, pass rush and pass defending. We’re returning one starter on the DLine (Tafua) and h…[Read more]

Jay replied to the topic Depth Chart in the forum Football 4 years ago
Lisk is 3rd string, no doubt, they keep trying to act like all 3 are in the mix but it’s already been cut down to 2 and then cut down to 1, we’re just trying to hide the starter from arizona.

I agree Wilmore and Brumfield were underwhelming, but it was with limited carries so I don’t know how much to read into it. But I was impressed with Moss day one as a freshman, he made a couple mistakes his freshman year but he showed a lot of promise.

Anyone one else extremely excited about the future at running back? Ty Jordan getting all sorts of praise through camp already as a freshman, Micah Bernard is a stud, and Ricky Parks looks like an absolute beast in high school. Plenty of talent coming through.

Jay replied to the topic ONLYU Or Whoever in the forum Football 4 years ago
I’m confused as well, he didn’t even make the two deep on the depth chart, thought he was a stud also.

He’d obviously have to sit out this year and who knows about next but he would start for sure after this year, we lose 3 seniors if they choose to go.

Whitt said after the starters (thompson, covey, enis) that it’s nacua, vele, and money parks

According to Whitt after the scrimmage only 4 running backs will travel with team and micah bernard will but TJ green will not, wouldn’t be surprised if he transfers
