  • We’ve gone through 12? 13? OC’s and nothing has changed.

As long as Whitt is the HC, this is our offense. Whitt was dumb to keep Rising around and let Jackson walk. Whitt will never let his offense throw the ball or try to control the game through the air.

If we had kept Jackson and let Rising walk, we’d be undefeated right now.

Anyone who saw us adding the players we added, Wilson, Singer, the basketball kid, etc and thought we would struggle/lose to ASU, Arizona, TCU was full of shit.

We should be undefeated. There is no excuse for this year, other than bad coaching. The talent is there. The schedule is easy. There is not excuse for 3 losses.

Anytime any leader starts to pull transparency, you know things are bad.

Good leaders don’t hide anything because they have nothing to hide. Anytime anyone closes the books, the accounts, practices, meetings, etc, you know they are going sour.

    Our defesne is damn good.

Once again, this is 100% Whitt’s inability to allow his OC to have more than one QB prepared to play. We aren’t losing to good teams. We are losing to mediocre to BAD teams.

How you can’t have more than one QB ready to play, when you have a former 5 star kid, a 4 star kid from Corner Canyon (other Corner Canyon QB’s…[Read more]

  • This is who the LDS Church is. They are a PR machine that knows how to make a lot of money.

  • It gets worse. BYU leaders can step in and not allow Ryan Smith to throw money at this kid.

This is BYU/LDS Church. Take the moral high ground, have someone else toss money around, and tell people YOU didn’t pay the money and YOU are still moral…

This is straight out of Gordon B Hinkley’s playbook.

  • Utah replied to the topic The next OC in the forum Football 4 weeks ago

Honestly, it doesn’t matter. Whitt has had 2 OC’s that he has been successful with:

    Ludwig and Norm Chow.

Chow ain’t coming back and Ludwig just left. No matter who the OC has been, it’s been the same. New OC comes in, tries to throw the ball more, the offense struggles for a game, Whitt shuts it down and we run the ball, win 9 games and Whitt…[Read more]

It’s because these coaches think they are smarter than everyone else and everyone else is a moron.

  • Utah replied to the topic Paralysis by Analysis in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

I really think this “Head Coach in Waiting” has really messed some things up and I think we are seeing some warts on Scalley.

I wonder if Whitt has already moved responsibilities from himself to Scalley and that is where some of the problems are coming from. And even if he hasn’t, I wonder if he and Scalley disagree on certain…[Read more]

What!?! We are on the same page on two ideas!?! What’s happening?

I agree 100%. This is 100% Whitt not allowing any OC to do anything that puts his defense at risk. We never throw to WR’s outside of the hashmarks. It’s not because we can’t recruit WR’s. We have a WR on every team that ends up in the NFL and making plays in the NFL.

    It’s…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic QB2? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

There has to be a turnover issue or work ethic issue or can’t master the playbook issue.

You watch Huard throw the ball and it is just beautiful. It’s sexy. It’s special. He’s a five star for a reason. He can just throw it better than everyone else.

So it’s not talent. But he has been at three schools now, given every opportunity to succeed at…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic I don’t feel bad for Cam in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

Hey, we are all people. Did Cam make a lot of money? Yup. Is it frustrating that Utah let other players walk, including JaQuinden Jackson? Absolutely. If we paid Jackson instead of Cam, we are undefeated right now with one of the best running games in college football and we are all drooling over the potential of Wilson. Losing Jackson hurt us way…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic So What's Happened Here… in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

I posted in that thread, but Wilson is 100% Utah’s as long as the season goes well. If he’s the starter and playing and getting better, there is no reason for him to leave. If he’s the backup or getting 50% of the reps and not getting the chance to be the man, then I 100% see him leaving.

With the news from Whitt, I’m not worried about Wilson at all.

  • Utah replied to the topic Handling of QB situation in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

I mean…we all know this. Wilson has been absolutely fucked this year. Especially after watching how bad Rising has played.

Wilson should have had 100% of the reps once Rising went down. Full stop. And the playcalling in the redzone has been absolutely awful. You have Singer, Kuithe, the basketball kid, King, Bernard and you can’t score TD’s?…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic Anything Can Happen in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

It’s a fallacy. Before this year, Utah has played really well as the favorite.

  • Utah replied to the topic Unfamiliar Territory in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

Agreed. We have six trips to the redzone and something like 9 points.

The losses are 100% on the offense. Sure, the defense saved us in year’s past with timely TO’s and they haven’t this year, but if we score TD’s in the rezone we are undefeated right now.

Our issues are 100% offensive play calling in the redzone.

  • Utah replied to the topic Morgan Scalley Dean Witter in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

If we make the playoffs, and we still can, it might be Whitt’s last year. If we falter, Whitt ain’t going out like that. Whitt is still here because he thinks he can win a national title.

  • Utah replied to the topic Scalley – HC in Waiting in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

Whitt has not retired because he thinks he can make the playoffs and have a shot at a national title.

He’s not retiring after a year like this.

  • Utah replied to the topic Cam Appreciation in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago

What a great point. Whitt’s policy on secrecy with injuries has absolutely crushed Cam’s legacy.
