Offered him way too late so he had cooled on Utah by then, and they offered in secrecy because they were scared of losing Costelli’s commitment so it wasn’t publicly reported.

When combined with the transfer rules, absolutely. Vandy beats Bama led by key senior transfers. TCU makes the national title game led by several impact transfers on defense. Players stay longer with NIL so there’s more senior talent across the country on teams, which makes a big difference for the teams who aren’t able to get impact freshman each year. Transfer rules make more good players who are backups at big programs transfer to smaller programs to find playing time. It all flattens out just a bit more.

Great activity, good athleticism, good playmaking, good hands, great motor & hustle, and the Utah staff NEVER takes undersized DL unless there is some other serious contributing factor, so that tells me that this kid has a legit DT sized frame and growth trajectory. Plus if he’s a mission kid then he won’t count in this class, so the hand wringing is for nothing.

Something like this. Probably the best DL in the conference, one of the best LB in the country alongside a couple very solid starters, and a mostly unproven but talented secondary. A lot of transfers who could challenge for spots and depth. This honestly seems like a really good defense to me. Not on the level of years past, but good enough to be one of the best in the conference. Throw in the fact that they’ll likely be supported by an offense that will also be one of the best in the conference, and they could terrorize offenses in the Big12 all year.

      DE Fillinger / Fano
      DT Tafuna / Pepa
      DT Tanuvasa / Vimahi
      DE O’Toole
      LB Barton
      LB Reid
      LB Fotu
      S Ritchie
      S Tao Johnson / Gilman
      NB Snowden / Blocker
      CB Kenan Johnson
      CB Vaughn

Keneley would be a DE for us. Only see Utah adding him if they really want playable depth. He’s got a good motor and he’s a good kid.

He’s not a draftable prospect. There are a million great athlete tweener frontcourt players who can’t shoot out there.

Wait what. Carsen Ryan similar to Kincaid? How? Kincaid was an uber-athletic big WR who put on extra weight to play TE and had to improve as a blocker and still is limited by his thin frame in the NFL, while Ryan is a big bodied blocking TE who has SOME receiving skills.

That had to be a comment about which position he’ll play, rather than their own play styles. He’ll be in the Miki/Fotheringham mold of play style. Play the same position as Kincaid yes (inline TE), but nothing like Kincaid’s style of play.

6’3, 222lbs RB? Jesus. I cannot wait to get that kid some carries. He has to be pretty dang good for this staff to keep him on offense.
