BYU fans love to trot out the “Senior QB” stat and how we have only beaten 2 (since LaVell took over and it actually counted), Nelson and some guy whose name starts with an F in the ’90’s. Moss was in a walking boot. According to his twitter he is planning to be back by BYU.

I don’t see us losing to CU or Cal (we beat them last year and they lost a #1 draft pick QB) but I think he makes a pretty good case otherwise.

I see what you are saying and in theory agree. Whitt’s D (base 4-3 of old) is fantastic against pro style. See Michigan this year, and Stanford the two previous. UCLA moving to pro style could be really good for us.

I think you make a good point. I don’t like the whole “if we are just a bit better than Wilson” mentality. I used to look at business plans for work a few jobs ago. Yeah, TCU was a legit D. I can’t remember enough about OSU 2008 to say one way or the other if their D was legit, so I will trust you on that point.

As for the ISU game, I am halfway joking about that. I know that game was an anomaly, but man I wish we could see that type of offense more than once every 4-5 year.

I hope he is better than BJ. I think we might view 2008 through rose colored lenses. If you watch all the games, that offense was pretty crappy most of the year. I remember last year (on the other board) you were pretty optimistic about Travis. I really was hoping you would be right, but I just didn’t see it. Well, he ended up have a fantastic game at Oregon and a terrible game at USC. In any case it is fun to see people make predictions.
