I went with the interlocked Us since I figured most of you would go with the D&F, so I went for second place.

The problem with numbers 1-3 is that those effects are diminished because we have a senior laden team. If we were an underclass dominated team the training effect would be a lot greater.

We have our own guy on the left side of that picture, but he’s being much more stealthy about it.

Covey’s a bit different since he enrolled and played before he left, so not really part of this class.

The problem is we are losing kids to some higher profile programs as recruiting has become more thorough. We lost them to Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas and USC. Meanwhile we drew a 4 star out of California and some higher rated kids out of Texas and Florida.

Because our two highest rated in state kids are going on missions and won’t sign an LOI.

Academics

If they screech loud and long enough they think you will eventually validate their positions. I enjoy a good give and take discussion, but unless you are part of the echo chamber you need not apply.

Why would you expect that? I think we’ll see some positive movement in the coming days.

Situational awareness is your friend. In Carr’s case he had a FG to tie (as did Rothlisberger) so you have to be really sure you can complete you play without costing your team a game.

You’d think players would learn by now not to do that one handed reach when there is a chance they could lose the ball out of bounds. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.

For example we are currently ranked 80th, with a numerical rating of 131.21, but with an average rating per recruit of 86.23. BYU is 68th, with a numerical rating of 147.92, but a per recruit rating of 81.96.

The problem with those rankings is they depend on the number you sign, as well as the quality of the recruits, measured in star rankings. So since we are signing a smaller class (because of returning missionaries) we generally won’t challenge for those higher numbers.
