Watch the recruiting battle in Texas over Erik Ezukanma. He is a receiver in the Carrington mold. The battle is down to Texas Tech and Utah. Last week there was a lot of buzz he was moving from a Utah lean to a Texas Tech lean, but with the loss yesterday that whole staff may be let go. So this one will be a fun one to watch.

What happens this time of year is the big dogs start looking around to see who they can poach of vulnerable schools. It looks like we may lose a lineman to Washington, for example. This probably won’t be popular, but I think given the mind set of the head coach, perhaps we should move to a more ground and pound attack.

On non-screen plays you can only go a yard downfield, so under the rules probably a violation. I just don’t think most officiating crews call it that close.

Fortunately Fox Sports didn’t cut in here until midway through the first quarter so I got to miss most of the mess when I rewatched it.

He is a redshirt freshman playing behind a RS sophomore (also not a walk on) Bradlee Anae. The other DE is Fitts and 5th year senior. And the top 8 Defensive linemen do rotate in on a regular basis.

I wish it was a noon kick off since they are a pacific time zone team. Maybe we could catch them half asleep.

OLman and yes Utah is pursuing him, as is ASU and others.

Yea, he was suited up on Friday.  There are a number of players hurt, though. And they are red shirting a lot of the freshmen.
