Well get used to them, because the Troy Taylor offense uses them a lot. WE do need execute them better, but they are a staple in that offense.

Those numbers are skewed by the fact that we’ve been leading, and in most cases significantly, throughout those games. When you are ahead your best play is to keep the scoreboard moving, when you are behind you have to risk more to try to score. How many of those drives involved 4th down attempts and how many ended in INTs.

I actually thought the one to Singleton was better. Huntley put the ball the only place it could go and Singleton made one heck of a catch to reel it in.

And yes, they have been working with Huntley to get him to recognize defenses and audible into the correct play.

I think Zona is better than any team we’ve played to date. And probably by a fair amount.

I’m not sure how you are applying those numbers. Are the points multiplicative or additive? If they are multiplied to get a result I would probably use fractions to downgrade the results rather than zeros. We need to outstrip them enough so that game becomes an after thought, then alternate with USU for an in state game. (Maybe we can even start going 2 for 1). Then you could have a tune-up game, in-state and a national level game in the pre-season.

Watching this it points out a weakness in the Troy Taylor offense. When we were down on the goal line we should be able to just pound it in, instead of running all the RPO and misdirection stuff. Maybe it’s a function of not having a power back (loss of Shyne hurts there), but you see that a lot with spread teams.
