If you try to figure out the decision making process for most 18-19 year olds you will drive yourself nuts. Mix in parents trying to push their kid one way or the other and you get some very strange results.

I watched a really good special on global warming that talked about this phenomenon. It’s one reason for the general warming trend since the middle of the 18th Century. However, this effect is understood and worked into the models. Still I found it very interesting from a celestial mechanics point of view.

There is a major difference in the Tea Party and the current round of protests. The Tea Party grew out of frustration with the ACA. These happened AFTER the bill was passed. These are all taking place BEFORE any real legislation has been passed.

Not a lawyer or financial guy, but I think the phrase “…calculated semi-annually,” means that the interest would only be accrued on a semi-annual basis (so at the end of six months).
