I think the decision between adding 4 and 2 depends on whether or not they can get both Fla. schools to come on board (and at a cheaper price). While it probably makes little difference in the short term, providing two major TV markets will soften the blow to their media partners making a re-negotiation easier down the road.

The big difference is that the current PAC 12 revenue model was built with Utah as part of the mix, the Big 12 model was built with only 10 teams in the mix. Adding teams would affect the bottom line from that contract.

Actually the Utah player was down and Chuckie’s stride into the throw carried him into the player. Probably still a penalty in today’s world, but a long way from dirty.
