During that 4 game winning streak we constantly started slowly, but had enough to over come that. Part of that was playing good teams at home and worse teams on the road. The rest of this year will be a chance to see how well our down line recruiting and training works at the QB spot. We seem to have the other positions in hand, but that has always been a problem spot of me. If this doesn’t get the staff thinking more about preping the backup players at that position nothing will.

On another note Agoura needs to quit listening to the drunk on the barstool next to him.

The rewards from Utah’s conference affilliation opening up Utah to them is far more than the downside of opening the LA market to Utah.

I think Utah wins if they play their game and avoid big mistakes, but it will be one of the tougher games this year.

OK, once more so everyone understands. Under the contract first choice rotates between ESPN, FOX and PAC-12. So I’m assuming this week was a PAC 12 first choice.

I remember the first year we played up there we happened to be staying in the team hotel. At about 6 am a coach showed up and dumped a whole pile of Nike’s in the hallway and the players came out and sorted through them taking what they wanted. I am assuming that happened every game.

Actually BYU and Utah overlap for relatively few recruits. The bigger threat to both schools is that other conferences have discovered the talent in the state. Schools like Alabama, USC, Stanford, Oregon, etc. are taking talent out of the State every year. Utah has more options to fill the void, but both schools could use some of those players…[Read more]
