I really do believe our depth is much better than it was in the MwC, but we just can’t sustain an offense for a complete season.

24, 20, 34, 31, 28, 36, 19, 52, 24, 49, 28, 22.

First 1/3 of the season, we averaged 26 points.
Second 1/3 we averaged 31.67.
Last 1/3 of the season we averaged 33.

What is particularly frustrating from my perspective is that coming into the league in 2011 Utah was arguably better positioned than any of the South teams in terms of the program the preceding 5 to 7 years so one would have predicted we would have won in the first half decade.

Since we like co-offensive coordinators I propose we get Mike Price, Cutty Sark, and Dennis Erickson. There would be so much unpredictability it would have to be more successful that what we saw these last few games.

Yesterday 16, 19, 20 and 23 all lost, today #2 vs #3, #13 vs #1 (I’d love to see that upset, reminiscent of 2008), 14 vs 15, and 9 vs 22.

With a win today we could move up to around #17. Which puts top 12 in reach after the bowl game.

I’ve got an uneasy confidence about today’s game. I think we’ve got a pretty good chance.

The Big10, BigXII and Pac12 are doing it this year.

Is there a correlation between the Pac12 and BigXII being left out of the CFP the past two years?

Very possible.

Until I see the ACC or SEC left out, I say go with 8 conference games. Though I do give some credit to the ACC-SEC teams who are playing cross league games this year.

Not every team in the North, just three out of the four we played this year.

And I’d rather see USC, that way we beat both teams who finished ahead of us in the South. And I’m fine with that. I take consolation in being undefeated in the South.

Both teams are .500 at home. (3-3) Okay so not really a huge advantage.

Both teams have won one road game this year. Sadly Oregon’s was last week.

I see the home field advantage as the difference.

I think we need to schedule like Oregon State, they had seven home games this season and five road games.

Other than a very few games Saban has had Alabama ready for every game in spite of being the odds on favorite.

1. Sefo Liufao is a Sr. tough to beat a Sr with this much starting experience
2. Trick plays, Colorado seemed to know how to set up plays and that wide open TD for Oregon shows we’re susceptible

Yeah it would suck if we had to rely on a True Freshman, like Sam Darnold or Steven Montez. Montez beat OU and OSU and lost to USC by 4.

Yeah, let’s cut TWII some slack because he’s a “virtual” freshman.

I think the Pac 12 has to reconsider the 9 game schedule if the P12 gets left out of the CFP again!!!

We lost 3 of 4 to the North this year, if we were SEC we’ have been playing South Dakota St today.

It’s not just killing Utah it’s killing the conference.
