Okay, I’m opining on who they do displace but honestly I think we are sitting pretty.

I’m baffled that you hope he is better than Hays or Cain.

Were they the best QBs we’ve ever had? No. But we got some good run with Hays, within one game of the Pac12 Championship.

Cain was 7-1 when Wynn took over, he was no slouch.

And let’s not forget Brett Ratliff, the JC QB who helped us beat BYU in his first start, and played in the NFL over BJ.

I’ve rewatched that play a few times and it appears the ball slips out of Covey’s gloved hand and goes forward instead of backward. Handley had some clutch catches last night, sure he had 5 catches for 29 yards but he caught some critical first downs and got open in the middle of the field. Which opened up the outsides.
