When I look at the schedule I automatically miss seeing USC, UCLA, Oregon & Washington. It’s just not the same. I’ll adjust in time, I guess.

It would be nice to see something other than a new temple. I kid… I kid (but not really).

I have it as a maybe. After looking through the BigXII schedule, I’m seeing a 5-way tie for first at 7-2. So the “maybe” comes from whether the tie-breaker rules are kind to us or not. I have Utah, Kansas St, Ok St, TCU & Iowa State all going 7-2, with the Utes losing at Ok St and UCF. It’s early though, so I reserve the right to change my mind ;).

At this point, between NIL, the transfer portal, and injuries, I’ll just root for whatever team they throw out there for the first game. Can you imagine Phil Steel trying to keep track of all of this stuff so he can put out a magazine with some half decent predictions? Brutal.

Said it before and I’ll say it again: they have been the most hated fan base and team in every conference they’ve been in. They’ll be the same in this conference. Just give it time.

That ignore feature works great. I like MD. If nothing else, dude is one hell of a dedicated Ute fan.

I say build from the portal from here on out. If I’m a coach, why would I take a chance on a kid that needs development only to have him jump to one of the big 2 conferences once he’s a solid contributor? It doesn’t make any sense.

That made me laugh, Utah. I wish it were an overreaction, but it isn’t. By the way, you forgot one: be sure to get those Crimson Collective NIL donations in so we can keep the players we already have!

Don’t feel too bad for them. If things keep going like they are with the 2 super-leagues, we’re going to be the new Utah State.

It’s just like everything else BYU. People are fine with having them visit, but then they want them to get the hell out.

6) This season has really done nothing to pull us fair-weather fans back in, and this program desperately needs us. I know, catch-22 here, the program needs all of the support and fan excitement it can get in order to attract quality players. I’d hate to be Harlan right now.

This is one of the biggest disappointments in this “new and improved” college football world. I loved bringing in an off-the-radar kid that we’d throw in the weight room for a year and then he’d grow into being an NFL draft pick. Those stories will be there, but they’ll be scarce.

What have they done to this beautiful sport? It’s gut-wrenching.

Am I the only one that thinks these cryptic posts are lame and dickish? I mean, half the time they turn out to be what someone had for lunch or something. Luckily, I’ve gotten to where I ignore them until whatever news it is officially comes out.

GREAT post, Ute Dub. This sums it up for me too. It’s absolutely possible to be horribly disappointed and saddened by the demise of the Pac12 AND to be grateful for the opportunity the BigXII has extended to us. These feelings are not mutually exclusive.

MD is a good dude. He’s just frustrated, like a lot of us.
