  • BYU is playing very good football, but is it good enough to compete with the top 10? They’ll be lucky if they go undefeated in Big12 play. They could win the conference and they could also lose. If they are included in the CFP I think they lose, because I don’t think they are that good outside the Big12. Indiana appears to be a solid team. We will see.

  • you don’t have to, the head football coach of the Utah program is doing it all on his own!

This won’t be popular and will be hated for it, but I don’t care.

Whittingham will continue to drive the football program into the ground until there is no fanbase attendance, recruit pipeline will dry up having seen first hand what’s gone on for years and go play at BYU or some other Big12, B1G or SEC school. I fear some of you will be okay with…[Read more]

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic Inspiration for Whitt in the forum Football 3 weeks ago

Whitt is a control freak! The mantra, we don’t adapt to you, you adapt to us mentality no longer applies when you’re not transparent with your players and the fanbase. It’s primarily because of Whitt that the program is in disarray.

If they lose the rest of the games, he will be the one to blame for all of it for his lack of leadership and…[Read more]

  • Understand and agree, but private schools should still be audited as there should be no exceptions to the rules when it comes to auditing and checks and balances both private and public institutions as all are not immune to corruption or nefarious activity. Let’s see, USC a private school ring a bell and had their 2004 or 05 national championship stripped.

  • BYU fan, I can sympathize and agree with your view point for the most part. However, the only thing I found hypocritical was when the Utah state legislature comprised of some BYU alum occupying legislature seats launched an audit a few years ago on Utah’s NIL program obvious to the fanbase and to local and national media that tracked the story…[Read more]

Not to be an ass but anything Whitt says pretty much as it relates to the team is no more valuable than toilet paper I use to wipe my ass with. I am not going to take anything he’s at face value because I don’t know now if he’s truthful or not. He lacks integrity and honesty and has hurt them team. Players don’t respect him.

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic Source in the forum Football 3 weeks, 2 days ago

I’ve always believed when leaders like CEOs, presidents of companies, businesses or organizations don’t want to disclose information or be transparent with its employees, customers/clients, team members and/or fanbase because of corrupt or damning business practices that could hurt a company, that tells me they are doing shady and nefarious things…[Read more]

  • That is the very thing I noticed this year alone. Sitake was on the hot seat, but decided to hire some former Ute assistance under Kyle Whitt and allowed them, IMO, to do their jobs and trust them without looking over their shoulders and being a control freak. Whitt is a control freak and IMO interfered in the offense causing sub par performance…[Read more]

  • Right on brother! What I’ve taken into consideration at this juncture in the season is BYU is lucky they haven’t had the level of injuries that Utah has sustained the past few years, but what I’ve noticed is about half or more than half of their staff are former Ute assistance. Their OC is ARod. They are 8-0 and playing very good football against…[Read more]

  • Dunn already left for USC because NIL and because it’s USC. Doesn’t matter that they are 4-4 this season. USC 4-4 is different from a Utah 4-4, because they are USC and Utah is NOT USC.

So will be hearing more de-commits soon? I don’t see Wyatt hanging around unless he really likes SLC and the UofU, minus the football program part.

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic ACCOUNTABILITY? in the forum Football 3 weeks, 3 days ago

    BINGO! Well said.

  • Plus they are playing a 3-4 team so they won’t get much respect there.

  • It won’t happen against better competition. If they do happen to get into the CFP, more than likely they will play a team or teams that won’t let them get lucky. However, they are having a lot of success with their former Ute coaches! That tells me IMO, Sitake has allowed them all to coach how they best believe will help the team win and trust…[Read more]

  • That’s true, but if the program continues to spiral out of control and not look horribly bad which he already does now, he will stop being a control freak and back off the OC and let him/them do their jobs. Whittingham is a control freak and why I believe he can’t get over the hurdles that includes losing the last five bowl games.

  • Hate to say it, but coulda, shoulda, woulda ain’t gonna get it done. I hope this week is different with different OC. The new OC’s stats over the years are not stellar, but only time will tell starting with Houston.

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic Rose in the forum Football 3 weeks, 5 days ago

IMO, over the years I don’t take everything coach Whitt says as gospel but more like with a grain of salt until the team passes the eyeball test, and even then, that can be hard until your star player or players go down at any given time during a season, then you will find out if the team goes from top 10 to mediocre. With that being said, I’ve…[Read more]

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic Not Surprised in the forum Football 3 weeks, 5 days ago

You are spot on! Whitt put all his eggs in one basket (Rising) and when that failed, he failed miserably as it manifested itself for all world to see and turned very ugly for him and the program! I wouldn’t have expected this from Whittingham having 20 years of head coach experience and how he handled it…VERY POORLY. Many didn’t like what I…[Read more]

  • There are five games left. The new OC has five games to prove if he’s worth it, and even then, that might not be enough time to fairly judge his entire body of work. If maybe, just maybe he happens to surprisingly turn the Utah offense around complete and have them playing up to their potential, then maybe it gives Utah a lot to think about bowl…[Read more]

  • Utah#1 replied to the topic Should Whitt stay or go? in the forum Football 4 weeks, 1 day ago

IMO, he is the #1 problem! I believe he is now in survival mode putting on his poker face to show there is nothing significantly wrong in the program despite what we see on the surface. After some players went to Twitter and voiced their frustrations with the program, anything positive Whitt says could be further from the truth. Whitt’s problem is…[Read more]
