I didn’t realize how high in the CFP pecking order BYU was at #6. Sorry I don’t think they are that good! They will run into a brick wall. No doubt they have a good team, BUT they are not #6 good.

I believe the handful of teams behind them would take them to the woodshed.

Folks, you forget Whittingham plays not to lose, even though he is losing by 25pts. He’d rather run the ball for no gain on all three downs and put his defense back on the field hoping they can stop CO from scoring and do it all over again running the clock out. Boring ASS football!

Unfortunately, he’s an interception machine, and Whitt will go with Wilson no matter if there are other QBs left on the roster who might be slightly better than him that could give Utah a better chance.

Everything is bad including the coaching, except the defense. That’s the only side of the ball that is keeping Utah from getting blown out in the first half.

It won’t last long if the offense can’t do jack squat…

None of what you said happens if Whitt is not gone after this season. He’s one of the main reason the offense has been inept for majority of his coaching tenure, except the good Cam years. Cam saved his ass, and now Cam is injured and done! I love Cam for all he has done for Utah, but don’t want to see him back!

This will be an unpopular take, but Whitt needs to move on with his life and retire at end of season. IMO, Whitt needs to retire end of season or Utah’s football program will see losing seasons, less ticket sales and take a hit in recruiting. For some of you Whitt apologists, this will happen. I say he retire to save himself and the program from further embarrassment.

Not making excuses for some loser Ute fans, but you have those kind of obnoxious fans in every fanbase. Unfotunately, Utah does have some very very bad ones. Much to be hopeful for this season only two games in against some cupcakes. However, won’t be convinced until midseason conf play which I think at that point in the season should be a good measuring stick. Go UTES!

When Texas and OU left, the Big12 became the MWC 2.0. I think BYU has a really good football team and playing the best football in the Big12, but I don’t think they are as good as any top 15 team in the polls. I was thinking more like Utah 42-14. Utah somehow surprisingly saves their best game for next weekend and shocks the TDS!

BYU is playing very good football, but is it good enough to compete with the top 10? They’ll be lucky if they go undefeated in Big12 play. They could win the conference and they could also lose. If they are included in the CFP I think they lose, because I don’t think they are that good outside the Big12. Indiana appears to be a solid team. We will see.
