Absolutely Rick. Our two best running backs at pass protection are Micah Bernard and JaQuinden Jackson – in that order. Glover is improving. I’ve watched him pick up some blocks and miss others. He discussed it in a recent profile so he knows it’s an issue. If Jackson plays this week it will help pass protection significantly.

Did you see the piece in the Deseret News yesterday (I think)? Glover mentions that John Randle Jr. may get reps in the Oregon State game. It’s inferred that if JJ doesn’t play, Randle will get some reps. Glover praised his talent and work in the article. We’ll see.

I guess I haven’t read the posts of people saying Johnson can’t be QB1. I see enormous potential. If he does start again this week I hope Whittingham and Ludwig give him more of the playbook – or simply let him run more of what he knows. I like Nate. He’s improving and has significant potential.

I was happy to see Lehi win because Corner Canyon is such a juggernaut; but Wilson’s playmaking and competitiveness in that game was remarkable. I don’t know that I ever doubted our safety play coming into this year. I simply felt we had enough with developing depth. Bishop, Vaki and Ritchie are all players who combine physicality, athleticism and intelligence.
