Glad the play happened the way it unfolded but I thought the timeout by SC was late and came after the ball was snapped. I’m sure the DC told the line judge he was going to call time out but it shouldn’t be automatic as they were trying to get a sense of what play Utah was going to run.

The PI on Kuithe seemed obvious to me however the PI when Benard was pushed out of bounds was more questionable and probably what Coach Williams is talking about.

Just saw he’s committed to ECU. If I remember correctly he never suited up for Utah and “retired” due to an injury and decided to take a job. I know at the time I was excited for this transfer and bummed he got hurt.

I saw Nacua on offense on one or two plays in the first half blocking. Also I saw Shelley on a kick coverage team which I though was weird. He didn’t hold the PATs either. It was Lemmons.

He got a third personal foul in the 2nd half with face mask that bailed us out on 3rd and 20+ and STILL didn’t get ejected. Don’t they right player numbers down that get personal fouls?

I didn’t realize Bachlor Johnson left Utah to go back to TDS as a grad transfer. Not a huge loss but just strange since he went back to TDS…not sure if I’ve heard that happening before TDS > Utah > TDS.

Does anyone know the story of walk-on Devaughn Vele? Hadn’t heard of him until his impressive showing in the spring game. From what I can gather from the interweb he was class of 2016 but didn’t play anywhere since he’s listed as a freshman.

Ali’i Niumatalolo (LB) and Bapa Falemaka (DE) are both listed as TE.
Bernard is #13
Simpkins is #3 (DHC back to #7)
Tyrone Young-Smith is #9

I’m curious about Bryant Pirtle…he’s not on the roster. Covey, Rising, Benard and Moss are not playing Spring ball but still listed on the roster. I guess the good news is Pirtle wasn’t mentioned in the Spring Camp Notes as leaving the program.

Anyone have any information on him?
