Well, it depends on what age you are. For us zoomers, when we rank things, we do tier lists in which “S” tier is the elite ranking.

I’ve heard really good thing about Dijon Stanley as an athlete. Are they thinking of making him the PR and/or KR? Or is that still up in the air?

22Ute22 replied to the topic Is Cam up to speed? Is he in shape? Just curious. A long sit out and no Spring in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
That makes perfect sense. After all, if some guy has improved substantially since spring, you’d ideally like to know early on in fall camp.

Well, that much is obvious lol. Cam isn’t a highly talented QB with an impressive arm. He is a good college dual threat that just has that “It” factor that not many people have. Isaac definitely has a higher ceiling, but for this season, Cam’s leadership, experience, chemistry with players and coaches, and familiarity with the system, far outweig…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic RES ranked 18th most difficult place to play. in the forum Football 4 months, 4 weeks ago
This is a terrible list. Alabama, TAMU, Georgia, and Ohio State are better home field advantages than Utah or Oregon. Alabama, UGA, and Ohio State just happen to be the 3 of the best programs in the last 6-7 years, with an overwhelming talent and coaching advantage over most of their opponents. So they win because they are good, not necessarily…[Read more]

Even if Rising does miss the game, which if he does, hopefully it’s a temporary injury, how funny would it be if Isaac Wilson as a true freshman demolishes BYU lol.

Yeah, it’s absolutely ridiculous and shameful. Funny how they also say our ceiling is only 11-1. I would bet my entire life savings that 12-0 is more likely than 5-7. Hell, 13-0 is more likely than 5-7.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Isaac Wilson QB2 in the forum Football 5 months ago
Yeah, this list is just ridiculous. Utah had the worst injury luck last season of any team, and we went 8-4 in a tougher schedule. 9-3 is this teams floor.

One thing I noticed from the spring game and scrimmage clips is that Wilson is not shy from throwing into tight coverage that would be contested catches. So I’m wondering how Whitt feels about this given we’ve heard rumors that his “no turnovers” offensive philosophy stunts QB development and risk taking.

22Ute22 replied to the topic What do you want to see in the SUU game? in the forum Football 5 months ago
I want to see Cam, Kuithe, Barton, and Fano look back to their pre injury selves. I want to see QB2 (Isaac Wilson) get meaningful reps to build experience. At the end of the day, Cam might get miss some time, and we need to be prepared for that. I don’t wanna see a bunch of runs to close out a game. Let IW build chemistry with the WR’s against SUU

I agree with him overall tbh. Arizona, Iowa State, and possibly TCU will all be tough games, but with the home field advantage, I think we win all 3. Oklahoma State and UCF are iffy to me. It’s funny that he think the Oklahoma state game will be a defensive battle, because I actually think it has a higher chance of being a shootout. Oklahoma S…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic Isaac Wilson this season in the forum Football 5 months ago
Not to mention that he’s probably not even ready to play as a true freshman anyway. We saw firsthand how an elite 5 star like Dante Moore fared when he played a defense that wasn’t abysmal, as a true freshman. QB is just incredibly hard to play as a true freshman, and it would definitely be best to have him as the scout team QB.

I don’t think Miki’s problem was athleticism, although that certainly helps. There were just some moments last year when his TE play was, uh, questionable to say the least, which is expected from a position change.

Very interesting on Rose tbh. His spring game was just no good, while Isaac looked great as a true freshman. I wonder if it’s just Whitt’s antiquated approach of limiting mistakes, which is honestly playing not to lose instead of playing to win.
But again, this type of speculation and questioning is what happens when the media and fans are com…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic 2024 – Points per game in the forum Football 5 months ago
Average 40 ppg, but our offensive efficiency rating will be even better.
As for our defense, I’d say 17-21 average points allowed over the season.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Who will be Utah's leading receiver in 2024? in the forum Football 5 months, 1 week ago
Yeah, I don’t know why I have a weird feeling about Kuithe too. Maybe it’s because he’s a TE and relies more on his knee’s than Cam? Or maybe it’s the non-contact jersey he wore in the spring game? I’d like proof that I’m wrong, like maybe videos of him doing sprints/agility workouts, or lifting heavy weights, or just anything.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Will we have/need/want a RB1 or go with a committee? Who will lead? in the forum Football 5 months, 1 week ago
What have you seen that makes you think Randle will be RB3? He is incredibly undersized at 6’0” 182 pounds. Mike Mitchell is most likely to be the RB3 to enter the season, and probably has the best chance to be a Bellcow RB1.

Probably 2 years tbh. He needs to put on a bare minimum of 20-30 pounds, most of which has to be muscle. Contrary to what a lot of people believe, putting on 10 pounds of pure muscle (I.e not the glycogen and water that gets stored with it) is very difficult to do in a year as a natural athletes. So unless he takes PED’s, it’s unlikely he will get…[Read more]
