Lmao that would be terrible advice. Better payday after having a torn ACL and not having played in over 2 years? Wait, where have I heard that one before?
But seriously, he’s not getting a better payday. My guess is that Utah will hit the portal hard for RB’s.

In retrospect, our defense was pretty dang good this season. Probably not as good as last season, but still up to par to the defenses. Offense was just terrible.

What talent advantage did Arnold and Oklahoma have against SEC teams?

22Ute22 replied to the topic After attending 392 Ute games I’m done! in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Yup, I said this since the beginning of NIL and the announcement of USC/UCLA leaving the pac 12. For the last 15 years, I’ve spent all day Saturday watching CFB from 9am-10pm. But I’ve spent 3 Saturdays this years not watching any CFB live, and only watching some highlights. I simply do not care that much anymore. NIL and the P2 has killed mos…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic Sure it's conjecture, but I think this team is 8-4 at worst with Barnes and JJ. in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Agreed. I think in hindsight, we gave Barnes way too much slack last year. Last year was of course a ridiculously brutal schedule. Barnes had 5 bad games last year against Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, and Baylor. He didn’t play against UCLA but he would have been bad in that game too. Of those teams, only Baylor was a ridiculously bad p…[Read more]

Hate to be proven right yet again, but I was dead on the money with my preseason worries at Center and Mokofisi.

You think so? We would literally have the record if we get a pick 6.

Wow, just checked the score expecting to be down by 2-3 scores, and we’re winning. After those pathetic games against Houston and TCU, I honestly just couldn’t bring myself to watch these team anymore. It was too painful, especially with the rest of the changing CFB landscape. But I believe our boys can pull this one out 🥹
If we lose though, may…[Read more]

I would say Becker was actually pretty good last year, and Jack B. was really good. But both have regressed, especially Becker. Our punt and kick returning is also awful.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Scalley vs Whitt in the forum Football 2 months ago
This is the better option anyway. Whitt announcing that he will retire right now would be ridiculous, and him stepping down right now would be even worse. Hopefully we make a bowl game and we do what AzUTE said, which is to let Scalley run the bowl practice prep and the bowl game. But making a bowl game is sounding unlikely.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Kyle, thank you for everything but it's time. in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Yeah, but that’s Rose throwing into double coverage that’s the problem. Hence why I said to throw 1 on 1 50/50 balls.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Somehow we all stay invested in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Nah, I watched this game on YouTube with a huge delay, on 2x speed, while at the gym. This pathetic team doesn’t deserve me watching them live, and now that we are officially the worst team in the big 12, I’m done watching them. Will probably see you guys next year, but that’s not a guarantee in this NIL/Transer Portal age, especially if there…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic Kyle, thank you for everything but it's time. in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Yup, it’s over. Whitt is not cut out for modern CFB anymore. Why do opposing teams know what we are gonna do? Because we run the same predictable, conservative plays. We should be running deep routes and taking shots downfield. I was watching the game sparingly, but I don’t think I ever saw Brandon Rose take a downfield shot. Why not? They wou…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic Wilson is a very mediocre QB in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
His top end straight line speed is good. His lateral quickness and ability to make defenders miss is absolutely dreadful, not to mention that he runs into sacks. Some guys like Caleb Williams and even Cam Rising just have eyes in the back of their head and can evade defenders they don’t even see. Hopefully it’s something he develops in the off…[Read more]

22Ute22 replied to the topic Why Lud Gone Means Whitt Gonna Be Gone in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
Not trying to be a downer since everyone of us will age and die, but Whitt will probably never teach his great grandkids much of anything. Most people never meet their great grandparents, let alone learn hard work from them. That’s what parents, teachers, coaches, grandparents, and older siblings are for.
