Yup, we needed a few more 4 stars or at least one 5 star to complete our recruiting class. Epenesa would have been a huge get.

I don’t really think it does at all. I highly doubt Whitt would name IW QB2 just for some 17 year old WR. Even in his most recent press conference, Whitt says that he’d like to pass and run for 225-250 per game, for a total of 450-500 yards. Sorry, but averaging 225-250 passing yards is not a WR friendly offense, especially considering our heavy TE usage.

Yup, so far our WR’s have a combined 178 yards in 2 games, and one of those was the money parks TD against Baylor that was just a little toss. USC’s WR corp had more than that in their first game. Boise state honestly outplayed Oregon. They were winning in the trenches all night long, despite missing two starters on offense. Two special teams TD’s just cost them the game.

2 things can be true at once:

1) Wilson should not be the backup. Rose should be the backup based on how long he’s been here.

I mean, saying Wilson should not be the backup isn’t sh*tting on him. The coaches should be more prepared. Rose should be at the very least a serviceable game manager.

We need to give Rose or Huard a half each next week. Wilson is clearly not it right now, and I guess those fall camp highlights and scrimmage highlights are just him being a practice demon, but a deer in the headlights in game.

Agreed, it’s definitely a coaching (philosophical) or cultural issue. They definitely aren’t making the playoffs. They will lose at least one more game. A 10-2 Notre dame with a loss to NIU and say, USC, will have maybe 1 ok win, 1 bad loss, and a loss at the end of the season. They need to go 11-1 minimum to make the playoffs.

Glad Oklahoma state is looking like they will win, but let’s be honest, they aren’t a good team. Arkansas has given them this game with their coaching mistakes and turnovers. Utah will not do the same.
