SMU’s offense is terrible due to the OL being awful. Their backup QB Preston Stone is far by the better throwing QB, but apparently SMU’s OL is so abysmal that they can’t buy him ANY time in the pocket and he’s not mobile at all. So they have to play the much more mobile backup.

USU is too bad to pull off the upset. As long as Barnes has a great game against them, that would satisfy me. Their fans and board would definitely get pissed if he went off on them again, even if USU lost. He worked at Lowe’s to pay for college for Christ sake.

48-14 is way too much of a blowout for me, especially if some of our starters are injured. I’m thinking 38-20, but with a garbage time TD to make it closer than the score would indicate.

Finn is a very good runner, not as good a passer as Williams at all, and doesn’t have the experience that DTR did heading into 2022. But all of those guys made our DE’s look like HS players tbh. Ehh, this was a really boring week of CFB. All of the “marquee” games ended up being complete snoozefests. Oregon is extremely overrated. Gabriel and Lanning are extremely overrated.

Their game against SDSU doesn’t show a whole lot. SDSU lost a lot of players I believe. Next week will show us a lot more about Utah and Oklahoma State.
