Man, it did NOT feel like we had 187 rushing yards. Also, our run schemes have never been sophisticated…
Same old running up the middle. I want to see tosses to the outside or power runs. Something other than just runs up the middle. I’m not an OC and understand that all “runs up the middle” aren’t the same, but our RB runs under Ludwig ha…[Read more]

Ehh, this was a really boring week of CFB. All of the “marquee” games ended up being complete snoozefests. The top games of the week were supposed to be PSU vs WVU, UGA vs Clemson, Miami vs UF, and ND vs TAMU. ND vs TAMU was the closed game and yet it was so incredibly boring. In a weird twist, the best games of the week were FAU vs Michigan Sta…[Read more]

Their game against SDSU doesn’t show a whole lot. SDSU lost a lot of players I believe. Next week will show us a lot more about Utah and Oklahoma State.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Ja'Quiden had himself a game last night. in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
No reason? He transferred out because Utah didn’t match Arkansas’ NIL offer. Had Utah done so, he most likely would have stayed.

Dang, you guys are hating on him for no reason. He gave so much to Utah and he was great friends with TJ and AL. Yes, he left because of NIL money, but it was to provide for his family. How many of you, if you and your family were poor, would give up a job opportunity in which you would double your salary and lower your commute time? NONE OF YOU.…[Read more]

I don’t understand this talking point. A player is at far greater risk going up against Miami or Florida than they are against SUU. So who do you want to see us play instead of an FCS team to help reduce injury risk?

22Ute22 replied to the topic Whitt says that the two injuries look serious. in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Dang, sucks for both of them. I expected Vimahi to be less serious since he at least put some weight on it. Screw that SUU player for that. It was already out of bounds at that point.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Any word on the injury? in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Vimahi’s didn’t look that bad imo. He will definitely be back before October imo. If he needs to rest up to get back for Ok State and Arizona, then let him rest.

22Ute22 replied to the topic How we feeling about 3* Turnovers in first half? in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Wilson is young and the interception was meaningless for in game importance. Rising’s pass wasn’t the best but whatever. Mitchell and Andrews had fumbles during runs in which they were barely touched. That’s unacceptable imo.

22Ute22 replied to the topic Final prediction on the year in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I got us going 11-1 with a loss at Ok State or UCF. Win the CCG, get the 3rd seed, and win the first playoff game we play. Then we either lose close in the semifinal, or win the semifinal and get dominated in the natty like UW did against Michigan last year.

You’re severely underestimating Malzahn and UCF’s recruiting, especially with NIL and the portal. It’s not like when Utah moved to the pac 12 in 2011, when it took 4 recruiting cycles to have a full roster of non-G5 recruits. Not to mention that they in a really good spot to get recruits in Florida. Additionally, the only game they got compl…[Read more]

I am really torn on Oklahoma State. I think they are a high floor team due to being very good on OL, RB, WR, and they have an elite LB corp. However, Bowman is arguably the worst QB in the big 12 and their secondary and run defense were not good last year. Additionally, last year Ollie Gordon didn’t start. I’m pretty sure he just ended up bei…[Read more]

Our D will be just as good, if not better. Our DL is much deeper this year, and more importantly, they are healthy going into the season. Remember, Van apparently didn’t start practicing until the week of the Florida game because he was dealing with Mono. O’Toole had a hernia I believe. OnlyU I think said Tafuna was never 100% during the sea…[Read more]

I didn’t mention that and I honestly just missed it for some reason. I agree though, ZV should be ranked the preseason best corner in the state.

I disagree tbh, although I see your point. The spring portal opens after a lot of teams have finished playing their spring game. Teams ideally want players on campus during winter for workouts, and then for spring ball.

Ehh, some might disagree, but from a preseason perspective, this makes perfect sense. Now granted I don’t keep up with TSPP and their injuries, but if all those players ended the season relatively healthy, it makes sense why they’d be ahead of anyone Utah had.
Lassiter, and especially Roberts, both had better production than anyone Utah has ret…[Read more]

Agreed. I’m also hoping that one of the WR’s lower on the depth chart (Lyons, Zipperer, and the 2 true freshman) can single themselves out.
