I mean, it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility, but if I had to choose Utah or the field, I’m choosing the field. ASU, Colorado, BYU, Baylor, KSU, and Texas Tech should all be in the top half of the big 12, and we play all of them. Assuming we beat all the other 6 teams we play, and split the 6 teams above, that puts us at 9-3 and 6-3 in Conference play, which is unlikely to get us in the CCG. Our team could be good enough to get to the CCG, but the difficulty of the schedule could make us not get there. Who knows though. Schedule projections could be way off. We thought Ok state was supposed to be really good and look at what happened.

Can we stop posting about this guy? I genuinely have zero interest in what he says.

I’m honestly quite concerned about the defense. Obviously Scalley always does well, but how can you not be a bit worried?

We lose O’Toole and Van and we don’t really have anyone proven to replace them. Hopefully Daley and Fitzgerald take a step forward, but we can’t count on that.

LB is unknown. Barton hasn’t decided, right? Even if he does comeback, he wasn’t exactly great last season. Would be better than him leaving, but not something to be hyped about. We haven’t heard about Damuni.

CB has no proven players. Johnson might be back, but we really have no idea. Blocker left. Calhoun left. Our CB transfers we brought in aren’t exactly the most highly rated.

DT is a bit rough with Tanu leaving. While he wasn’t amazing and he wasn’t as good as Tafuna, we are losing both. I don’t think we have anyone who is as good as Tafuna, and while someone might be as good as Tanu, who are the backups going to be?

Oh well, we will have to see.

This is such a crazy caption for a guy that had no good runs all year long 😂

Literally the most memorable things about him are that he always got tackled for basically no gain (some of which falls on Ludwig, but not all of it) and that he fumbled against southern Utah when he was barely touched.

It doesn’t matter if they count as tax write offs, billionaires can easily spend 10 million a year on NIL and will die with billions. Stop trying to rationalize billionaires. Most of them are addicted to money and power. Billionaires are treating every facet of life as a sidequest, and we are like NPC’s to them. Phil Knight is a perfect example of this patheticness, and why I hope he never sees Oregon win a natty, whether in basketball or football, but especially football. This dude is a billionaire and is treating Oregon football as pet project because he desperately wants to see them win a natty. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for Utah to win a natty, but to use billions of dollars over the years to try and accomplish that is crazy. It’s not like he’s ever played the damn sport or something. He has no business being this invested in it, as if his life is incomplete without it.

Exactly. I’m not believing that Whitt lets Beck run the offense that BECK wants to run, until I see it on the field.

Can’t believe we’re still gonna have Mokofisi SMH.

Doubt the SEC would let that happen. ND is in the ACC for other sports and has an agreement for game in football. The SEC would NOT allow them all those perks and let them keep all their money. The SEC would actually probably prohibit them from regular season games if they tried to leave, or at least severely limit the amount of SEC teams they could play, such that scheduling 12 games becomes difficult.

Absolutely. The people who openly post on social media about scriptures and religion are often using it as a shield for criticism, as a facade for being a good person, and to feign moral superiority. Doesn’t mean all religious people are bad by any means, but the genuinely good religious people usually don’t spout their beliefs online and then act differently in real life.

Yup. They’re a bit different since they run a 3-4 and having bigger DE’s is a must in that system, but no reason why we can’t have big DE’s. Fillinger at 265 seems like the biggest DE we’ve had, and he was slow.
