With that out of the way….oh my god, that was just brutal. Worst fracture I’ve ever witnessed. As someone who has never broken a bone and has no idea what it feels like, how much pain is Hayward in right now?

It’s true. For example, no one would have thought ASU could beat UW, but yet it happened.

USC would have to lose two of these games, along with Utah winning out in order for us to have a chance at winning the South. It’s difficult to imagine a scenario where that plays out.

ASU has been allowing 30+ points per game. This game is an anomaly. This does however, show how much parity there is in the P12.

I know it seems unlikely, but Utah really isn’t out of the running for the South yet.

Sadly, this game ultimately unfolded exactly like I thought it would: us not being able to stop USC’s offense.
Sucks, but USC is just better than Utah.

…we just don’t match up well with USC. Darnold picked us apart last year and we could NOT stop their offense. I’m all for giving Bateman a shot. Dude is a senior and never got much playing time in his career. I bet he is itching to get playing time. I bet he’d play harder and with more heart than Williams has.

Utah held Love well below his average. He ran for 152 yards (7.6 yards/carry) and was averaging 218 yards (11.1 yards/carry coming into this game. Dude is impressive and is a Heisman contender.
Stanford was averaging 39 points/game, Utah held them to 23.
Utah’s defense looked great this game.
