Appreciate Andy for all he’s done for Utah Football, but it was time. It had to happen.

He has a contract in place that that says he’ll be promoted to the HC when Whittingham retires. Of course, contracts can be voided, just requires money and some backstabbing.

You’re probably right. I’m sure the defense just seems worse than usual because they’ve given up backbreaking big plays in both of the losses. The two Fifita throws and the two Skattebo runs were just killshots.

Statistically, they aren’t a terrible defense. But you have to admit, this is not the defense we are used to. Even Whittingham said after the loss to ASU that the defense is underperforming.

Hill should be a top contender for the HC position. IDGAF about Scalley’s “HC-in-waiting” contract.

Fans are gonna fan, and always overreact to very small sample sizes. I thought Wilson looked great once we settled in. That throw to Lohner for a TD was a thing of beauty. I’m so excited for this kid.

From a fan standpoint, no. But, there is something to be said about getting to 8 wins in a really good conference with a scout team offense.

I’m still a bit worried about the OL. I am hoping that being able to throw the ball will help out the running game. Opposing defenses had it too easy last year, stack the box because Barnes couldn’t throw.

Rising throwing to Kuithe and Singer means that game plan goes out the window.

Our Utes are gearing up for a great 2024.

Absolutely massive pickup. Proven elite talent at the position of highest need. Singer is a game-changer.

Sure, Utah can win at home. The Utah homefield advantage is real and means we have a legit shot against any team.

Losing Barton is absolutely brutal for the defense, though. Stopping their run is going to be tough without him.

A lot of people think Utah let him score. Makes perfect sense.

I’m hoping he sees a lot of playing time vs Weber State.

As others have said, Florida remained committed to stacking the box. They never deviated from that game plan.

Also, Florida’s defense is pretty good. They have some seriously talented dudes on that side of the ball. Utah did well, all in all.

Completely expected for a true freshman o-lineman in his first game. The fact that he was able to compete his way into a starting spot at all speaks to his talent.
