Always thought that when a team is trying to preserve every possible second letting the ball roll slowly down the floor, why that is NEVER a violation (since the player you ‘pass’ the ball inbounds to has to touch it before 5 seconds elapses.)

Getting left out would feel somewhat like fans feel when their soccer team is relegated to a lower division.

Rice beat the hell out of Utah back when we played them at their home in the expanded WAC. One of the all time worst performances I have seen from a Ute team.

Zona/ASU play the last weekend, but Kansas/K State play mid-season. I think pretty much in about 5-10 more years about 90% or more of programming (not just sports) will be streaming and probably even be that cable/satellite companies will go the way of the dinosaur.

Have had ESPN+ for a while now mainly for English football (FA and EPL cup matches) as well as lots of other sports. Purchased a smart TV last year so I don’t have to tie up a device (phone or tablet) casing to the TV.

Starting because Lovering has an injury. Trick is that if Keba gets a few early fouls by an official with a tight hand and quick whistle, we’ll be limited in our options who to bring off the bench.

Coaches poll just dropped, Utah 29th in both polls.

Polls mean very little to the selection committee. Schedule strength, quality wins, bad losses, etc. are what determines who gets in the dance and where they are seeded.

Utah was poised to sneak into the Big Dance last year before the injuries to Madsen and Worster and we lacked the depth to overcome the loss. Great chance to make it this time (8 or 9 seed in some projections right now) but indeed fun seeing the team improve. Need fans to get out to the games now.

I would be uneasy spending a lot of $$$$ for Jackson given he has been quite injury prone. Seems to come right back each week (for a quarter or two) but seems a season-ending event is inevitable.

But wherever he lands, I wish him a healthy productive season.

As noted we need to get some playmakers at WR and THROW TO THEM once in a while.
