I’ll still watch team in the NIT (and attend any home games). If anything to take my father (we’ve had season tix for hoops/football for a long time and he took me to my first Utah basketball game in 1969) and enjoy another night or two cheering on our Utes.

Has a long history of poor behavior (such as the time he met someone to buy/sell a used smart phone, pulled out a gun, and left with all the phones and all their $$$). Sad that someone with all this history could be walking around and able to cause more pain and suffering.

He has a brother who is also awaiting trial (I believe still awaiting trial anyway) for allegedly killing an individual who had apparently won or tricked him out of some money during some sort of ‘matching game’ at an athletic shoe convention at the Salt Palace.

(Not nice to cheat during such a game, but doesn’t justify killing someone).

A very happy day which ended a rather long losing streak to that opponent. Putting 57 points on the board was significant, but Tausinga’s rumble into the end zone which put us up 21-0 gave me the feeling that this just might be the day.

I miss the Majerus seasons of stellar defense where teams would regularly shoot in the 30% range and star players would have career lows in scoring against us.

Does the 4-22 record include the time we beat them in a very low scoring game in the tourney when Swoop was on stilts and reached down and beheaded the Duck mascot?

We have one single win in Eugene in the PAC12 era (and just 2 in Salt Lake)

Easily our hardest conference opponent since we joined.

Winning today and one or more games in Vegas massively important to go dancing.

Zags winning at St. Mary’s last night hurt. Doesn’t really diminish our win over the Gaels which remains a solid quad 1 road win, but boosts Gonzaga’s resume and they too are on the bubble.

I don’t give a shit what Zoobs on that board say.

Helped our ratings last season to have very few late games.

I had BYU on my list before removing them as some Utah fans hate the idea of us being linked to them, but very likely we are stuck with each other for quite a while.

Having a 12 team CFP with 10 or more teams from Big10/SEC would be about as interesting as March Madness with no teams from the “mid majors” and all 64 teams from about 6 power conferences.

Remember back in the 80s when BYU was named by SI calling them the most hated team in college football?

Pretty much every PAC12 conference basketball game has been televised on a channel I can get on Dish (ESPN/ESPNU/ESPN2, ABC, Fox/Foxsports1/2, PAC12). I’ve watched a number of Big12 hoops games (including battle of the Cougars when Houston visited Provo) and had to go over to the ESPN+ to view it.

I really Iiked the after dark football recap show every Sunday morning and will miss that. Big12 has nothing like that

ESPN+ carries for BIG12 essentially what DISH (and some cable) subscribers have been seeing on PAC12 network.

USC is in a tailspin (one win in last nine games), but Utes have had just one good game in the last few weeks (the heartbreaker against Zona). Very much need to win this one if there is any chance to try to get back into the tourney discussion.

As I feared and expected, after Saturday’s loss, Utah fell all the way to ‘last team in’ in bracketology. Need to find some wins on the road somewhere but I’m somewhat doubtful of our chances at this point.
