Utah player, coaches, and fans will remember that last bomb next season when the Wildcats visit Salt Lake.

Glad no one on our team lost their cool and did anything foolish in response.

End of ASU game there was too much time on the clock to take a knee. I noted before the snap that I hope we get the first time but don’t score, but the 4th string back ran it in.

As for today, the team and fans will remember it when they visit Salt Lake next year.

Any word on Keita? Could have used his athleticism, but you play with who you have and don’t make excuses. Both hope he’s not out very long (could use Exacte back too at some point).

Liking this Ute team though.

Hoping for a win or at least a respectable result. But might be a difficult matchup for Utah. But you have to play strong opposition in order to improve.

Most of the Deacon 3-pt attempts after halftime were rushed to avoid the oncoming defender or well beyond NBA range. Made the difference.

Shows on my guide on ESPNU. A much stronger test than what we had the last few games.

FWIW, for those either unhappy/happy with all these early starts. I noticed that BYU and Oklahoma kick off at 10AM in Provo this Saturday. (Can’t remember any game at Rice-Eccles ever having that early a start).

Not happy we again get to wait but not surprised. With it being a holiday weekend with many extended family events, would help to know now when we play, but all about the TV $$$$ of course.

Lots of angry responses from the home town crowd on some of the calla. At least 3 calls against Washington on 4th down. A rough game for the guys in stripes who had a rather heavy hand on the game, but it was consistent. Lots of calls against both teams today.

On call for work this weekend so have to watch this one on TV and gave tix to someone else. Should warn those planning to attend the game that it’s high school football playoff time and parking lots at Rice-Eccles and VA are reserved for that event. (Remember TRAX is free for ticket holders)

Back in my student days, when we’d watch many football games with a mostly empty student section, then hoops season would start with loud students taking most of 6 sections, never would have thought we would have the MUSS filling the student area at most football games and under 100 students at most hoops games.

Arrive early to the game so we can all cheer loudly as the team takes the field. Cheer throughout the game and stay until the end to support the team, even if things aren’t going well. Enjoy the fall weather and being with the friends/family you attend the game with. Most of all…. GO UTES!

Another crisp autumn day game. Remember to put on sun screen, especially those of us on the east side.

A game I’m happy my seats are on the sunny east side. Little sunscreen and a jacket should make for a comfortable afternoon.

One posting somewhere today talked of “protected rivalries” (which undoubtedly means Utah versus BYU every year we both remain in the conference. I’ll simply note that many local fans like that, many others don’t. It is what it is. But every trip to Utah County is one less trip to a much more distant venue.

Thinking Cal and Stanford may be quite open to non-conference games against former PAC teams given the distance their conference games on the far side of the country will be.

Without looking yet at all 16 schedules, would think league might decide to have a some natural pairs (Kansas/KSU, Zona/ASU for example) playing every year.

We may know later today, but have they already indicated an 8 game (rather than 9 game) conference schedule?

With BYU now back to being a conference game, would like to see the return of the Battle of the Brothers.

Would just as soon visit Logan (always been an enjoyable trip) as other MWC venues in Fresno, San Jose, Laramie, etc.

We’ve gone 3-0 against the Golden State teams, and 0-2 against the Beaver State teams. Four games left against teams from Colorado/Arizona/Washington.
