Glad we earned the win in January that is looking to be the most impressive (including Kansas) this season and that we had the home game first in the series. We likely don’t win that one if was played in Provo and not sure we could have beaten them in Salt Lake last week. Have to credit Cougars for playing their best ball of the year right now. They possibly face Houston tomorrow (currently up 9 on a resurgent Colorado team early in the second half).

Not a BYU fan at all, but have to respect and admire how they are playing right now. And I won’t even begin to compare crowds (in particular the student sections) of the 2 schools right now.

But more interested in Utah getting back to being competitive than I am that other school.

Waiting to see what Alex can deliver.

In pre-season when we set the team record for made treys a few times and our percentage of field goal attempts from outside the arc was higher than in many NBA games, I noted that on days the outside shots aren’t falling, we would struggle. Last night was a definite example of that.

Dawes’ rebounding numbers are huge. Led team in total rebounds with fewer minutes than the regular starters. Far and away the highest rebounds/minutes on the squad.

Hope we can hold onto Dawes.

Very grateful the curtains no longer used at basketball games.

Little heats up from time to time (kept the game in Provo from becoming quite ugly). Would like to see him stay around. Gets consistent minutes and could become a valuable asset.

As a man of integrity, Alex may very well feel an obligation to stay committed to the Mavs until the end of the year.

Hopefully he can be able to jump right in and be ready to go after players in the portal. I perceive we can go after a player once their season ends. Not to mention reaching out to some of our current players to convince them to stay.

Wahlin showed great improvement as the season progressed. Could be a valuable asset to keep around.

Hitting 40-50 percent from 15 feet is more productive than 3 out of 14 (21%) from 3 point range.
