I legit had a dream last night that I forgot about the game and turned it on near the end; the score was 42-0 Utah.

Utegator replied to the topic Paging insiders – Ghost or OnlyU in the forum Football 2 weeks, 1 day ago
They dont tell us anything. I used to watch the Monday pressers, listen to the Tuesday coaches show, and ESPN 700 throughout the week. I slowly began to realize it was a complete waste of time. “this is a tough team coming up, we will have to have a good week of practice, Cam is a game time decision”. I feel like its gotten even worse after Bill…[Read more]

which I guess can be the good and bad about college football now. We could easily go out and get a good QB in the transfer portal with Cam’s NIL money. Whats troubling is that Whitt said its up to Cam if he wants to come back.

I lost interest in the NBA when players started sitting out to demand a trade. IDK how you can be passionate about a team when those types of things are going on. Sadly, we are already seeing it in college sports as well.

Its hard to say what the cause is because of the well known lack of transparency. BUT it seems like a lot of these injuries happen in practice.

Utegator replied to the topic Thoughts on my NIL essay, new here in the forum Misc 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I think we all agree that NIL is a good thing for the (select) players, but I’d argue its bad for the sport, fans, and schools. The infrastructure isn’t in place to make it work. Maybe it works for a few select schools, but it will end up leaving a lot of schools, fan bases, and college players; out to dry.

Could you argue that this type of offense only worked because it often didn’t work and required a running QB to scramble and salvage a “blown up” play?

Utegator replied to the topic I wonder how practices have been going this week in the forum Football 3 weeks, 5 days ago
Okay, so we all saw these mind boggling plays. Why do we say that Ludwig stepping down was “falling on the sword”. He was the one calling these drive killing plays we’ve all seen.

I’m not sure if i’m right, but wasn’t Rose picked to be the starter, until Cam came back, before injuring his kidney?

Utegator replied to the topic Ludwig's hands tied, compared to prev years (Cam is only half the equation) in the forum Football 1 month ago
Yes, it was an interesting interview. Its been very obvious that opposing defenses knew what Utah was doing… because we kept running the same plays. Like our swing pass plays took so long to develop the defender was smashing them as they caught the ball.

leaving the injured Cam on the field in that game when it was obvious he couldn’t make an accurate throw was 100% on the coaching staff. Pretty sure EVERYONE was confused about that.

Utegator replied to the topic The reality some of us need to let sink in in the forum Football 1 month ago
Clemson was irrelevant until they had 2 really great QB recruits, Deshawn Watson and Trevor Lawrence. They have struggled since they left. Utah is historically bad at QB recruiting and development. You cant win games on a high level without QB talent.

It was odd seeing him draw up a passing play on first down on almost every down of that ASU game.
