I heard about the Baylor QB, but Gentry?

With all of the first string alll-conference players we had we should’ve won the conference championship. One of the announcers during the championship game said Utah was “out schemed”. To me that’s the same as out coached. I think he was right.

Two thoughts: 1) We don’t belong in the playoffs, 2) One announcer said we were out schemed. I read that as out coached. That’s accurate. The O line was poor, but it didn’t give up all the points. Oregon ran through our D line.

That second point is pretty zoobish.

The best evidence that I’m an old man is my posting on the wrong thread. My post was meant for the guy urging people to use their tickets.

I’ve only been watching Ute football and basketball for um years. Going back to Ike Armstrong and Vadel (sp) Peterson.

Paraphrasing Abe Lemons: The idea is to have more points at the end of the game than the other guy has. It don’t (sic) much matter how you do it. Ok, that was basketball and Abe was a lovable smartass. I’m just not love able. I want to watch the game and see how we, the good guys, do it.

Maybe Whittingham will be glad TTis going. He oughta be able to get a good OC. Harding wouldn’t be high on my list right now.

I remember listening to that game. Army was a big deal then. Lee Grosscup got a lot of recognition in that game. Stu Vaughn (sp) was the guy who got those shovel passes. Pappy Jack Curtis brought both of them. Exciting times. Vaughn was called “long gone Vaughn” when he got here.

I can’t feel sorry for anyone associated with tad, no matter what his ties are.

We wondered how the qb can hold. The announcers wondered about it too. Six offensive penalties, all majors, means a lotta yards and messed up momentum. Let’s hope it’s cleaned up in the second half. I’ll bet we’ll see more variety in the offense this coming half.
