Sorry, but that isn’t victim blaming. Nowhere did I say it was her fault she was allegedly abused. Shame on you for accusing me of that.

As for the role she played in not reporting the abuse she suffered AS AN ADULT, that responsibility falls squarely on her shoulders and it is ridiculous to insinuate that anyone else is responsible for it.

So Urban should be fired because of something his wife might have done?

The bottom line on this case: The victim is an adult. It is her responsibility, and hers alone, to report the abuse. Unless Urban threatened the victim or otherwise prevented her from contacting the police, then he should NOT be fired.

  • First of all, let me say that if I had my way we would drop BYU from all future schedules, or at the very least, limit games against them to a couple of times each decade.
Now, having gotten that disclaimer out of the way, I have to say – Utah and Colorado have a distinct scheduling disadvantage compared to the rest of the Pac-12. We are the only…[Read more]

  • If you missed this epic comeback from last year, the Pac-12 Football in 60 version is airing on the Pac-12 network right now.

They are just over half way through the countdown, having released #29 today.

So far, it is an even split for the lead between Utah, USU, and BYU each with 10 players on the list. Weber State has the other 2.

Looking at who they have listed for Utah so far, and who is not listed, I’m thinking it is very likely Utah ends up with 25 or 26 players…[Read more]

  • Is @Onlyu really Kyle Whittingham?
I’m mostly joking here, but dang, this guy has some great inside info.
I always get excited when I see a post from @Onlyu.

  • They are obviously still friends and any time I have heard Kyle talk about Kalani as the HC at BYU he mentions something along the lines of ‘Kalani is a great coach and they are going to win a lot of games while he is there.’ Maybe he believes that or maybe it is just PC coach speak. I don’t know.
With how poorly BYU performed last year, and how…[Read more]

  • Other than Utah’s games, which annual Pac-12 matchups do you always try to watch?
I like watching just about any Pac-12 matchup, but there are 5 that I go out of my way to try and watch:
Colorado vs CSU – I’ve been watching this game since the formation of the MWC.
USC vs UCLA – Intense rivalry in sunny SoCal that I just like to watch in late…[Read more]

  • Why would you assume they beat Utah? I’m always apprehensive about that game, but I would never assume a BYU victory over Utah.

As for the rest of that schedule, every single one of those games is a game that I would say BYU could lose. At best, they are all toss-ups. Unless they get significantly better in the next two years, I would pick them…[Read more]

That was fascinating to read. To see in black & white so many things confirmed that were rumors and how instrumental Chris Hill was in getting us into the Pac-12 . . . that man deserves to be memorialized on campus somehow. Name a building after him or build a statue!

  • California: 3-0 . . . wins vs North Carolina, @ BYU, vs Idaho State; They might trip up against BYU but I doubt it.
Oregon: 3-0 . . . wins vs Bowling Green, vs Portland State, vs San Jose State; Three home games against crappy teams? If they don’t go 3-0 they should fire the entire coaching staff on the spot.
    Oregon State: 2-1 . . . wins vs SUU…[Read more]

  • . . . we won’t be a one win Pac-12 champion.
If we are good enough to run the table against 9 Pac-12 teams, then we aren’t losing to NIU or BYU.
I get that, technically, we can lose to NIU and/or BYU and still win the conference, but what people who throw this statement out there don’t get is that if we lose to NIU or BYU, then it is almost…[Read more]

  • Arizona: 2-1 . . . wins vs BYU and SUU, loss @ Houston; I could easily see Arizona going 3-0 but I think Houston takes advantage of the Wildcats adjusting to new coaches.
ASU: 1-2 . . . win vs UTSA, losses vs Michigan State and @ San Diego State; I could just as easily see ASU start the year 0-3 but I think their superior talent wins out over…[Read more]

  • UteThunder replied to the topic Puka Nacua to USC in the forum Football 6 years, 4 months ago

As soon as Sampson tweeted that he hoped his brother would go to a better school than Utah, you just knew Puka wasn’t coming to Utah.

  • I haven’t visited that cesspool since late July or early August. The vitriol and hate at that place was(and I would assume still is) toxic.

I’m very grateful to have UteHub.

  • How many times had Urban Meyer done that before we hired him? Whittingham? Zero and Zero. What a couple of bad hires they turned out to be.

  • Very disappointing on multiple levels.
Several segments of the movie had a similar feel to the general crapiness of Episodes I, II, and III with cheesy characters and several scenes taking place in a casino? They tried to draw too many parallels to current politics. And the worst part is that the story was boring. I found myself on the verge of…[Read more]
