Looking at this remaining schedule and our putrid offense, we are looking at an 8 game losing streak this year.

Ludwig won’t be fired mid season, Whit won’t do that to one of his best friends. I also doubt he will strip him of play calling duties. If he does, he won’t announce it.

You think he wants to come back for a rebuild after the way last year went and the way this year is going? Next year’s team will likely be worse than this year’s team.

He has said he doesn’t see himself coaching into his late 60s. He turns 65 next month. Odds are, he’s not coming back.

The announcement that Scalley was named HC in waiting (again) combined with Whittingham making comments in the last year about getting close to retirement and how he has missed too much time with his family – specifically with grandkids.

The coaches are very unlikely to do this. Playing for the future would mean not just benching Rising, but also playing younger players over other upperclassmen. And if we do that, we go from average to bad.

Couldn’t get anywhere on the 4th down rushing attempts.

How does that work if he weren’t to start/play? Do the bettors get their money back?

Their run defense might have as much to do with who they have played as it does with their defense. The rushing offenses they have faced are ranked:

Wyoming – 117th
Mississippi State – 91st
Texas State – 61st
Texas Tech – 59th
Kansas – 22nd

Yep. Running game did not look good against Arizona, defense wasn’t great, and I have serious concerns about Rising’s timing with receivers. I’m also worried Cam is rushing back before he will be able to be fully effective as a passer.
