Not really. Just poorly played. Terrible angles and coaching big Utah. After the first quarter it was clear that pressure man coverage wasn’t going to work. Stick with it through 3rd. BYU with nearly zero secondary talent beat them by playing 8 deep 3 rush. We did that maybe twice. Foolish.

The way they lost is worse than the loss. 17 penalties….13 of them were legitimate.

I see our only difference at this point is a downgrade in run defense at the LB position. LBs in coverage haven’t been an issue at all. I think Bernard is fantastic in coverage and will have next level opportunities because if that strength.

15M is a big buy out though. Especially for a state funded school.
