The other half of other 3/4 is the QB play is awful. The numbers don’t lie. He’s bad. Accept it. He can get better and be great but he’s the worst QB we’ve seen in the field this year by either team

Any offensive coach is only as good as his QB and ours is terrible. He might be great but right now, as a true freshman, he’s awful.

Because the calls to go for it and leave 9 points on the field were Ludwig’s? Those were bad decisions and absolute morale killers on the road. Whitt holds WAY more of the blame for that loss than the OC trying to call a game with a TF QB with a limited grasp of the playbook and pretty terrible decision making and worse execution at times.

Ridiculous. So tax payers get to fund a multi millionaires gaggle of grandchildren because he coached football. This sit shouldn’t happen at public schools. A lot of other kids could use that money in scholarships. Shameful

We haven’t played a great defense yet and haven’t moved the ball but maybe today is the day

That’s quickly fixed with an experienced QB. Should look better tonight

Only thing bad about the run game was that we didn’t run it enough. 5.7/rush is pretty good. Take the FGs, run the ball 10-15 more times and I think we win that game. One or 2 of those extra runs in the second half would have popped with their line gassing and likely one less freshman INT. Puts us right there at home, I think we pull it out.

You got that right. A loss here is probably the season. Odds to the playoff would drop to ~11% with a loss.

Bingo. They haven’t missed yet. They have little birds in the media and the media pays the bills. Remember the talking to that FOX gave to P12 about how Whitt was handling the Rising situation…needing to be able to “prepared for the broadcast”. One of the broadcasters even let it slip on air before the AZ game. Big money would have moved this line if Wilson was starting on the road.

I’m not as concerned about the injury policy, which is basically the same as ever other P4 school, as the 4th down calls. With an experienced 2 time P12 champion that won in the toughest environments I get it. With a true freshman QB thats been making some horrific decisions, turning the wrong way for handoffs, throwing the ball directly to the other team multiple times a game, it makes no sense to not take the 3 points every time.
